Whenever the One Direction lads return to The X Factor stage it sort if feels like they\'re home, doesn\'t it? And while we were watching \'em perform \'Perfect\' (and recall Niall Horan\'s love of \'chicken fillets\' on The Xtra Factor) last night we felt a bit...weird. Like, it kinda felt like nothing\'s changed but everything\'s changed all at once. 

So much has gone down in 1D world over the past five-and-a-bit years it made us go back and re-watch all their old X Factor performances (literally any excuse tbh.) In fact, we thought we\'d go as far as to compare their first live show performance of \'Viva La Vida\' to \'Perfect\' purely \'cos crying at our desk\'s our new thing. So what\'s change exactly, eh? Well:

Instead of the whole full fringe situation we had back in 2010, Liam opted for a Zayn Malik-esque single strand to honour him during their first UK X Factor performance as 4/4. Maybe. Probably.​

But now the judges can\'t get outta their seats fast enough tbh.
