for some reason i think i have a vague memory of agreeing at the time ... but now one of the channels is rerunning s3 i think he did let her all the way in! it was brooke he wouldn't make it work properly or whatever ...
i can't fully explain but it just feel like wasn't true!

He never let brooke al th way in because Peyton was already in his heart and Brooke finally understood why after she found out about the kiss.

Lucas was so closed off towards Brooke, he never shared things with her, he never fully trusted her.

This is one of my favorite scenes of all times and watching Sophia say it I really did believe that he didnt, but now I can't think of one thing he didnt tell Brooke or one thing he told everyone else but not Brooke.
Sure he had a hard time with Keiths death and he built a wall but that wasnt just for Brooke it was for everyone. And also he told her everything in the finale and how he needed sometime which IMO was understandable.

Yea I don't know that Lucas was keeping things from Brooke. I think Lucas was just a withdrawn person and Brooke couldn't deal with that.

Felt kinda bad for her. He let Peyton in more then Brooke even when they weren't together! must suck for Brooke :/

Fore me Brucas were doomed from the start. Brooke insecurities & trusting issues were too big to solve, infact it remained their problem for all of S3. BUT this is the one time I felt sorry for Brooke. He never confided in her & never open his heart to her. And I actually felt sorry for Brooke.
