for me its because they cheated.

In the beginning of the series, Brooke got attracted to Lucas. & Brooke knew that something was going between Peyton/Lucas & even after Brooke told her that if she had something for Lucas she would step aside. Peyton secure that she didn't have anything for him. That's why Brooke made his shot with him. & even Lucas decide to date Brooke because he wanted to move on. But after Peyton saw how much fun Brooke & Lucas were having & that they really liked each other. She just went between them. Because she was afraid that she may loose her chance with Lucas. She just used the chance of knowing that Lucas liked her. & when she told him that she wanted what he wanted, she thought that he would still comeback to her. That's just selfish. She was the reason why Brooke felt insecure when she was with Lucas. She always got between them. & I do not believe she say her feelings out because she just wanted to be honest. She was just a selfish bitch since the beginning. & even if she knew that Brooke & Lucas were going out in s3, she just kissed him. Knowing that Brooke was really in love with him & Lucas assuring her that he was in love with Brooke too, she just went on with it. & after Lucas & Brooke broke up, she knew they broke up because of her & she still was all over Lucas.
She always got in between when she knew that Lucas was happy with someone else. She has a great timing. She's just two faced-backstabbing bitch. Brooke was so right.

I've come to accept LP in some aspects. There are scenes that I can admit are cute & I'm okay with.

The main thing i dislike:

The cheating/going around behind peoples backs. A lot of people have tried to say that because it's always Peyton that he cheats WITH, that somehow proves his love for her... I'm sorry, that's just illogical! Love is a mighty powerful feeling. When you're in love with someone, and I mean truly in love, you would do anything to be with that person, [which is what most LP fans believe of Lucas] you wouldn't have to cheat to be with them. You just wouldn't... I know BL & LP fans will never agree on that, but the fact that LP cheated together doesn't show some epic romance between them, it shows a lack of in my opinion.

But i also dislike how forced they were, how rushed so many of their storylines were, the way that Mark just shoved them down our throats and expected everyone to love them, but never backed up pretty much any of the bullshit.

Especially in S6. There were so many claims of things Lucas supposedly used to, or used to think or was teased about or blah blah blah! It was all WORDS! Funny how there is a line about how Keith used to tease him about Peyton, yet it was BROOKE we actually saw him tease about!

Oh there are a lot of reasons why I'm not a big fan of Leyton and why I will always prefer Brucas over them!

First I want to say that I really tried to give them a chance, but always failed!The biggest problem I have with them, that I cant feel the chemistry and passion, there are no sparks when they kissing, it is like Lucas kissing Haley.To me they always feel forced - Lucas words sound empty and like he doesn't mean it and peyton (hilarie) looks like she's acting.

Another thing I dont like is that their lovestory is way to unrealistic for me!Lucas spent most of the season 2 falling for brooke and wanting to tell her how much he loves her and in season 3 he tells everyone (also peyton) that he loves brooke, that she is the one for him, his soulmate......... and then suddenly in the middle of season 4 he changes his mind forget everything about his love for brooke and is in love with Peyton!But same thing with Peyton, she spent all of seasons 2 and 3 talking about how much she loves jake and then in one episode she suddenly realizes she loves lucas not jake! Like this would happen in real life........no way!

I also dont get why LP (especially Peyton) must always be so melodramatic, it often really annoys me to hell!

I just love Brucas because of their chemestry and feelings for each other!They bring out the best in eachother and they dont hurt everyone who come across just to be together(hate the cheating thing of LP).For me their lovestory seems more realistic!

^^^^^Agreed on the bro/sis thing. Their chemistry feels a lot more like incest to me. I think Brooke and Lucas have a kind of tenderness without all the desperation of Leyton. I just don't find it very romantic to end up with someone you had a crazy crush on way back in the day. I think Leyton remind me a lot of Dawson/Joey and that is just yuck.
^I also agree on the melodrama comment. I mean geez everyone in s5 was saying that they were meant to be and I'm thinking, wait where is all of this coming from? Most of us don't end up with our high school sweethearts. I still will always love mine, but he and I are just really good friends now I don't have some crazy ass claim on him. Very much in love with my current BF.

Sorry I'm never quite finished when talking about this. I find it ridiculous that anyone could call Lucas's early infatuation with Peyton "love." It's the same stupid way "love" is thrown around all over TV. It's not that easy to say that you love someone and really really mean it. Lucas fell in love with Brooke after getting to know her and stayed loyal in his love for her until she broke up with him. Peyton's meddling made Brooke insecure. I hate in s5 and s6 that suddenly the writers turn it around and make it seem as though it was ALWAYS Peyton. Are you F-ing kidding me? Can anyone honestly say that Luke didn't love Brooke in s2 and s3? Because he did, let's be honest. I just hate that he automatically has to go along with Peyton whenever she feels like being with him. Yuck their chemistry makes me queasy.

anyway i agree with Holly and Emma

swimchick pretty much took the words outa my mouth. i just hate LP cuz their chemistry sucks, i think they should be friends, im not a fan of cheaters and well i could go on and on lol. but mostly i think theyre the most melodramatic unrealistic couple ever. and i hate that they are constantly shoved down our throats by OTHER characters idk if i get started i wont stop lol, its just they suck lol.

I really can't stand when a couple starts by cheating. That makes them completely wrong in my book from the very beginning. I will never understand how epic couples can start like that. That is NOT an epic couple.

Also, I have always felt that (even in S6 when I kinda liked Leyton) it showed Peyton being WAY more in love with Lucas than Lucas in love with her. Whenever I watch their scenes, I always see that Peyton is in love, like completely 100%, in love with this guy, but Lucas, I don't know, he just doesn't seem as passionate about it. He does look like he loves her, but not as much as she loves him. I hope that makes sense. LOL.

I also don't like the fact that Peyton figures out that she loves Lucas when he is with someone else. She has the WORST timing in the world. S1 it was Brooke, S3, it was Brooke, and even S5, it was Lindsay. It just seemed like every time she finally figured out that Lucas was the one, he always had someone else already. Now, granted, in S5, she didn't know that Lucas was with someone else, but still, it was like she had a radar on her that told her when Lucas was happy with someone else, BOOM, she would want to be with him again and go for it. I never understood that part about it, either. She had all these chances in S2 to go for Lucas when he was with no one and she never did! She fell in love with Jake instead.

I actually DID like these two in S6. I thought they had some really cute moments and I resigned to the fact that they were going to be together forever and it was fine with me, but their past will ALWAYS be a reason why I cannot love these two.
