It's always just kind of strange for me when I go back and watch the pilot, and Brooke's not around. So I was just wondering how everyone felt about her 1x01 absence!

It doesn't really bother me, because I don't think they originally planned on Brooke being such a vital character. I think it's obvious from her first few episodes that they originally just planned on writing her in as just kind of a... "comic relief" type of character. But that obviously changed, along the way!

I'm sure they would go back, and write her in today if they could... seeing as how important, and loved her character turned out to be. I just don't think they planned or expected her character to turn into the character that she is now.

its not just that but i somethimes feel like shes always the outcast , like theres this group lucas, haley, nathan & peyton .. & then brooke ...

Well, it was said that Haley and Brooke were originally not supposed to be main characters, but since the audience liked them so much they became mains. That's why the first few episodes of OTH were greatly focused on Nathan, Lucas, and Peyton. I think we should just be grateful that Haley and Brooke were included eventually because they could have just been secondary characters. So no it doesn't bother me. Espeacially considering what a big part they have on the show now. They are going to be the only two out of the main 5 to be regulars in season 9 after all.And they eventually both had huge/important roles on the show. Besides every character except for Nathan, I think... has missed one episode in the first six seasons. Peyton wasn't in one episode of season 2 because she went somewhere with Jake. Haley wasn't in one episode because of her tour and Lucas wasn't in an episode of season 3 because he went some where with Karen. So it's not just Brooke that missed an episode in the first six seasons.

I know that they weren't supposed to be mains but it still bothers me that she wasn't in the Pilot, in the beginning. :/

My first instinct was to say, "yes", but then I realized how grateful I am that she became a main character. Mark and the fans fell in love with her character and she made the cut.
