The members of New Religion went out of town to spend some time with their families. On the last dag of doing so, they spent some time at a shopping mall. Suddenly, gunshots were heard, and everyone was scattered about. The members of New Religion and their families suddenly got separated in the chaos. Erin and her brother, Daniel, managed to find an emergency exit. Paul managed to find a storage room to hide in. Carl and his family soon found a way out. Lola's family managed to escape, but Lola got shot. She proceeded to lie on the floor, pretending to be dead. The pain was intense, but she feared that any movement would cost her her life. Once outside, Erin said, "That was close. Is everyone okay?" Everyone said, "Yeah." Lola's mother said, "Wait a minute. Where's Lola?" Paul's mother said, "I don't know, but Paul's not here either." Meanwhile, Paul was still hiding in the storage room. He was shaking like a leaf. He began to wonder where his family was. Were they safe? What about his mates? What became of them? Finally, one last gunshot was heard. Paul listened, and he didn't hear anything but silence. He was too scared to leave. Unaware of the whereabouts of her mates and family, Lola still didn't verplaats a muscle. She remembered something her grandfather once told her: "Just because u can't see the danger doesn't mean it's not still there." Outside the building, police officers confirmed that the shooter had shot several people. He then shot and killed himself. One of the officers happened to be good vrienden with Erin and her family. She asked him to find her band mates. He went in with some other officers. They managed to find Lola. She still wasn't moving. When she heard the reassuring voice, she opened her eyes. The medics soon arrived. Erin and Lola's family ran to meet Lola. Erin asked, "Are u okay?" Lola said, "They zei that I'm stable. They're going to take me to the hospital, just to be sure." The officers continued to zoek for Paul. One of them found him in the storage room and assured him he was safe. Once outside, Paul ran to meet his family. He then gave Erin a big hug. She said, "I'm glad you're okay." He said, "Me too. Where's Lola?" Erin said, "She's been shot. We're going to the hospital to make sure she's okay." Thankfully, the bullet only hit Lola's leg. She was expected to make a full recovery. Once at home, she said, "I'm really glad to know u all aren't hurt." Carl asked, "How did u survive?" She said, "I pretended to be dead. The shooter left me alone when I did that." Erin said, "That's really clever." Paul said, "I hid in a storage room. I've never been so scared." The foursome didn't even separate from each other to go to their beds that night. They huddled together on their couch. The volgende morning, Erin woke up to see the sun's glow through the living room window. She was happy to see that her mates were awake, too. Paul was the first to speak. He said, "You know something? There is one good thing that came out of this. It made me realize how important to me that my family and vrienden really are." Carl said, "That makes two of us, Paul." Lola said, "Three!" Erin said, "No, four!" The foursome embraced. Later that day, they finished their new album, which was titled, vrienden Forever.
