I didn't intend on writing this originally, but I just felt like venting, so here I go. Being asexual isn't easy, but it's part of who I am. I can't exactly change that. What's hard is some people can't accept it.

I thought that I wouldn't be bullied once I was in college. I still get bullied for being asexual. It's indirectly, unlike when I was in high school. At least, I'm not getting beat up for it.

I overheard one person saying that the reason I'm asexual is that I can't get a date. I could if I wanted to. I have been asked out door a few people, but I turned them down. They just weren't my type. One of them didn't even like rock and roll. That's a deal breaker for me.

For the longest time, I've actually been afraid to date. When I was in high school, there was one guy who told me that I would like sex if I tried it. He then told me to meet him after school. I did not meet with him. I went straight home. I'm sure if I had met with him, he would have raped me. After opening up to some of my vrienden here about it, Layla pointed out to me that I shouldn't let just one incident make me afraid of dating. I'm not currently looking. I'm waiting for romance to find me.

BingoPB I'm sorry you're having a hard time, Antonia. I hope those people who make fun of you don't have any friends. They don't deserve them, especially not a wonderful friend like you. Only a few people know about me being asexual, and I think I'll keep it that way.

ktichenor I'm so sorry that happened. Those people are just jerks! Tbh I went through some of the same things with so called friends while I was struggling to figure out what I was so I understand. Just remember you're a strong and great person and we're here for you, always. *hugs!*

I am so excited! I have a new dog! His name is Roscoe. He is a Gerberian Shepsky. He is almost six months old, neutered, housebroken, and a very sweet boy. His birthday is April 28.
