One day, Jane and Paula went to a hiking trail they had never been to before. Letty and Hillel took them there. Jane's dog, Shiloh, came along. As the foursome walked and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, something captured Shiloh's attention. She began whimpering and straining on her leash. Letty asked, "What's up with Shiloh?" Jane said, "She probably saw a eekhoorn of something." Just then, they heard whimpering sounds. Hillel said, "I didn't know squirrels could whimper." Just then, they saw a dog coming in their direction. It was black except for its left front paw, which had some white on it. Paula asked, "Is that a wolf?" Hillel said, "I don't think so. Its ears are too big, and wolves typically aren't black. Even if they are, they wouldn't have any white on any of their paws." Jane said, "I think Hillel has a point. I think this is a dog." Paula then said, "It doesn't have a collar. Do u think it's lost?" Letty said, "Maybe it is. The poor dog doesn't look like it's putting weight on its one white paw." The dog came closer and started licking Paula's hand. Hillel said, "I think this dog likes you, Paula." She said, "I think you're right. I wonder if my parents will let me keep him." Jane said, "I'm sure they will if u ask." Paula called her parents. They told her that she could keep him as long as there was no microchip of any other evidence that he belonged to someone.
