"Gin." Private zei as he put his hand of cards on the table. "GAH!" Kowalski exclaimed as he threw his cards on the table. That was the 7th time in a row Private had beaten him. "Oh Kowalski! Don't be a sore loser!" Skipper told him from across the room. He was busy sorting through some classified files. "I'm not a sore loser!" Kowalski told him. "Then why are u so upset!?" Skipper asked. Kowalski looked down a little and muttered: "...Because...I just taught him how to play this morning..." Skipper and Rico held back a laugh as best as they could. "Oh...It's not that big a deal Kowalski!" Skipper zei and snickered slightly. "Lighten up!" Rico, who was reading a comic before this was happening, and Skipper couldn't help it. They burst out laughing. Kowalski wasn't amused. He crossed his flippers. "You done?" He asked, still giving them 'The Look.' Skipper and Rico slowly stopped laughing. Now they were breathing heavily with goofy smiles on their faces. Kowalski rolled his eyes and looked back to Private, who suppressed a small giggle. "Rematch?" He asked innocently. "Fine. I'm winning this time though." Kowalski proclaimed with a smile. After about half an uur of playing and drawing cards, Kowalski showed his hand. "Gin! Yes! I win!" Private smiled. "Good game Kowalski!" Private was about to put his hand back in the deck when Kowalski stopped him. "What are u doing? I have to count my points." Kowalski told him. "Oh Kowalski, we know I won. Why does it matter how many points u have?" Private asked innocently. "I just wanna know." Kowalski zei taking the cards from Private. After looking at them he slammed the hand on the table. "You already had gin!" He exclaimed loudly. "I'm sorry Kowalski!" Kowalski, annoyed, stormed into his lab.
Skipper went over to Private. "Just let him cool off. He won't hold a grudge over something like this. How about we all go get some snow cones?" Private smiled. "Could I bring Kowalski a snow cone? u know, as a sorry?" Skipper patted his back. "Sure." Skipper, Rico, and Private went to go get snow cones. They didn't even notice the intense purple glow coming from under the lab door as they left.

Returning from the snow cone stand, the penguins entered the HQ. Private went to Kowalski's lab and knocked. There was no answer. "Oh Kowalski! You're not still mad are yo--" He opened his lab door and froze. His beak fell open. The snow cone fell from his flipper to the cold hard floor. His hart-, hart began racing with fear. Skipper waddled up behind the frightened soldier. "What's wrong Pri-" He looked into the lab to see what the young soldier saw, and his voice trailed off. Skipper recovered first and ran to his seconde in command. Kowalski was lying on the lab floor barely conscious. He was murmuring something...something that couldn't quite be made out.
Private waddled up slowly. "What's he saying?" He asked, still frightened. Suddenly Rico walked in. "Wha's goin' on?" He asked as he kneeled volgende to Kowalski. "I don't know. u and Rico lay him in his bunk. I'll zoek for some clues to what happened." Skipper commanded. Private and Rico did as told and picked Kowalski up door his underflippers and dragged him out of his lab to his bunk. Skipper began a thorough zoek of the lab. Whoever did this was careful. There was hardly any evidence that anyone was there. All he found was some broken glass of what used to be a test tube set, which was on the floor in many pieces close to where Kowalski was found. He couldn't find anything else. He left the lab to find Private holding a damp cloth to Kowalski's forehead and Rico fanning him. Private turned to see him. "Did u find anything Skipper?" He asked hopefully. "No, afraid not young Private. The only evidence that someone was there was that broken glass. I didn't find anything else." He informed them sadly. He walked up to them. "Did u figure out what he was saying?" He asked. "No...It sounded like 'The tower is tall'. I don't know what that would mean though." Private answered.

A few hours later Kowalski started to regain consciousness. "Kowalski?" Skipper zei waddling up to him. The other two followed as Kowalski sat up slowly in his bunk and rubbed his temple. "You okay soldier?" Skipper asked. Kowalski gave him a confused expression. "What's wrong Kowalski?"
"Who's...Kowalski?" The others' eyes widened. They looked at each other in panic. Skipper took Kowalski door the shoulders. "Kowalski! Do u know who I am?" He asked. "Should I?" Kowalski responded. "Oh no..." Skipper said. "You don't remember anything? Where u are? Who we are? Nothing?" Skipper asked. "No...the last thing I remember is...is...actually...I dunno..." Kowalski told him. Suddenly the televisie turned on. "Well hello, pain-gu-ins."
"Blowhole! What did u do to Kowalski!?" Skipper yelled while waddling quickly to the television. Blowhole laughed. "Well...once I got my memory back, I improved The Mindjacker, intensifying its memory erasing capabilities. Kowalski is NEVER getting his memory back now." He chuckled slyly. "I don't believe you. Kowalski is the smartest pinguïn on Earth. He'll remember." Skipper told him. Kowalski appeared volgende to him. "Uh, guys, who's the vis guy on the box thing?" He asked pointing to the television. "I believe u mean was the smartest penguin." Blowhole said. "Why are u doing this!?" Private asked angrily. "Because, Private, what I have in store for u pain-gu-ins is carefully scientifically calculated. So..." Skipper finished his sentence. "So...Kowalski wouldn't be able to understand what's going on...Meaning u could slow us down in stopping you..." Blowhole's smile widened into an evil grin. "So what exactly is your 'carefully scientifically calculated' plan?" Skipper asked suspiciously. "That is for me to know, and for u to find out." With a final laugh, the screen went black.
Kowalski looked at the other three. "What was he talking about? I'll never get my memory back?" He asked worriedly. "I dunno Kowalski. But I know there's got to be something we can do to get your noggin up and running again." Skipper zei rubbing his chin. Rico smiled, but before he could say of do anything Skipper interrupted him. "NO KABOOM!" Skipper commanded, knowing Rico was about to ask that very question. Rico crossed his flippers in disappointment. "Uh...what?" Kowalski asked, cautiously eyeing Rico as he hid slightly behind Skipper. "Don't worry about it Kowalski. There's gotta be something u remember. I need u to think really hard." Skipper told him. Kowalski nodded and closed his eyes. He thought as hard as he could, but he could only remember what happened since he woke up. "Sorry, uh, Skipper. I just don't remember anything except for the past few minutes." Kowalski informed them sadly. Skipper sighed. Private and Rico looked at each other sorrowfully. "What about Dr. Blowhole?" Private asked. Skipper thought for a moment. "Well, Kowalski recently installed a recorder in the television, so how about I watch the video to look for clues to where Blowhole is while u two take Kowalski out to try to jog his memory." Skipper told them, now walking toward the television. He took the remote and pressed a few buttons. Once again Dr. Blowhole was on the screen. Private and Rico then took Kowalski outside to see if they could find anything that would help him remember.
