I was halfway to New York, walking along the side of the highway in a rainstorm feeling like a drowned rat when suddenly someone grabbed me and threw me in a cage. "A penguin?" The bug-eyed creep of a human asked, "You belong in a zoo boy.." I struggled to get free but it was no use. After while I gave up on escaping the cage. We made a few stops, one of which the guy noticed my gituar. He took it from me and zei it would sell for a good price. We travelled onward for two meer days before we reached the Central Park Zoo. He pried me out of the cage door my scruff and carried me into the zoo office. There was a buff, red-haired lady sitting at the desk. "What's that?' she asked. She sounded unenthused and really bored. The bub holding me replied, "It's a penguin. I found 'im. Will u take 'im? I wanna get rid of the blasted sucker. He bit me". He was right. When he took away my gituar I'd just about ripped his face off. Now the bored zookeeper stood up and picked me up with one hand, "He looks healthy enough.." she muttered, turning me over repeatedly. "Male adelie penguin..looks as though he's picked a few fights. Well, I'll take him.." She carried me out to a habitat in the center of the zoo and threw me out onto a concrete ice flow. "Get aquainted bird. You've got roommates!" The zookeeper shouted as she walked away. I stood up shakily and looked around. Roommates? As far as I was concerned I was alone here. Suddenly something jumped out of nowhere and nearly hit me head on. I stepped aside just in time before another one jumped at me. I grabbed his foot as he flew door and swung him down onto the ice flow. He screamed and sheilded his face with his flippers, "Don't..hurt..me..please!" he yelped. I scoffed and muttered, "Get up.." I had forgotten somewhat about the other pinguïn and I payed for it. He leaped at me from behind and knocked me down on the hard concrete. I swung my foot up and kicked him in the jaw. He stumbled backwards but regained his balance and went for another blow. I ducked and vaulted him over my shoulder as he lost control. He recoiled and punched from behind but missed door a feather's length. I grabbed onto his flipper and threw him like a baseball into the water. He resurfaced, sputtering and wheezing. His partner hurried over to help him out of the water. He looked over his shoulder at me, "That was some rad defense mister..you got a name?" I glared at him. I didn't know whether I could trust these two. "Who are you?" I asked. The taller of the two shook some water out of his feathers and replied, "I'm Johnson." He pointed to the meer muscular pinguïn with a black beak and black feet and added, "And this is Manfriedi". Manfriedi nodded, "Now ya' wanna tell us who u are?" he asked. I thought a bit, knowing I couldn't use my real name. These two might be spies. Then I heard Leeland's voice echo in my head, 'You really are quite the little skipper aren't you?'. A smile perked up my beak as I replied, "Skipper". And we became a team.
