The girl, whose name was Devon, quickly tried to get out the door. The glass door was promptly frozen and the large windows were frozen as well. They were opaque from the ice. She grabbed the door handle and pulled and shoved but to no avail. I formed my sword and started walking. "C'mon, C'mon." Devon muttered.
"That's not gonna work." I said. Devon turned around and she sowed fear. She ran down an aisle that was protected from me door a case of glass. She ran into the back room I was just in. I followed slowly.
Inside the back room Devon was hiding behind the owl statue while putting small marble statues of animals around the big owl. I was confused. "What're u doing?" I asked while walking to her. She ran to the other side of the statue, putting a wolf statue down. She lifted the left and right ears of the owl. It's beak jutted out and a golden light appeared from it. She than quickly inserted a... stone tablet inside it's mouth. The statues started glowing goud and started growing bigger. I looked away from the blinding light.
I looked back and the small statues were huge and moving, and the owl statue was hugging Devon from behind and protecting her with it's wings. "KILL HIM!!!" Devon yelled. The smaller statues than ran toward's me. There was a massive python, a panther, a big tarantula, a wolf, and a hawk. They ran, slithered and flew toward's me. The runners jumped toward's me claws and fangs bared. The snake lunged, it's jaw unhinging to open it's mouth as big as me. The hawk's talons looked lethal and it's beak was long and pointy. I wasn't sure what to do in those two milliseconds of animals in the air. I tightened the grip on my sword and swung at the hawk's head. It blocked my sword with it's foot but the sword sliced through it. I ran back. The snake hit next, it's fangs got chiseled down an inch. I ducked quickly and the panter, panther and wolf missed me and crashed into a case, stones flew everywhere. The tarantula scuttled toward me with poison dripping from his fangs. I sliced his first two legs clean off. He fell on his face. I tried to quickly stab him, but it shot a web at the uithangbord opposite from us and sprang across the room and stuck to the wall. The hawk regaining composure quickly duif at me with talons coming. I rolled out of the way and sliced his tight wing off. It crashed into the ground and shattered. The snake was coiled up and was hissing and spitting at me. The wolf and panter, panther growled to my left. I was clearly outnumbered. The snake sprang forward. I stepped back but his fang sliced my chest and his stone scales wore down my cloak. It coiled again in a corner. The panter, panther sprang forward. I side stepped it but he landed quickly and sliced my left leg with razor sharp claws. I tried to stab it but it jumped out of the way. The wolf howled loudly, crouched low, than ran toward's me snarling. I stood my ground. Teo feet in front of me, it leaped with claws and fangs beared. I ducked and sliced up as it went over me. It cried in pain. It landed without a sound and limped to were the snake was.
Then the snake slithered up the uithangbord while the panter, panther ran at me again. It leaped at my chest. It got a mouth full of sword and disintegrated. The snake was on the ceiling, totally scraping the uithangbord paper and the ceiling paint. It fell around me in a circle. It coiled on me with lightning speed. My sword hand was limp and couldn't cut the snake squeezing me.
Everything started to turn a shade of red and the squeeze got tighter. I thought, "This is how it ends. Squeezed door a living rock." the snake continued to squeeze tighter. Finally, I noticed brand sprinklers in the ceiling. "Yes," I thought, "I catch a break."
I willed the sprinkler above me to break and pour water on me. I concentrated with the snake getting tighter. The wolf was now circling me. "C'mon C'mon" I thought.
Finally cool water poured on me and the snake froze in ice. It shattered into shards and the water stopped falling. I got my sword ready to fight. A tearing pain fired in my back. I turned around with a scream of pain. While slicing the wolfs snout. It wimpered and stepped back. I ran to it, it was clearly to tired to run anymore and it disintegrated before my sword hit it. I turned around and saw Devon with fear on her face. Though she was safely in the stone wings of an owl she was still scared looking. "So," I zei with a small struggle, "Who's your godly parent?"
"At,Athe, Athena." she barely stammered out. I started walking to her. "Not very smart for an Athena girl. Besides I thought they had blonde hair."
Her face became red."Hair dye and contacts do wonders." She zei with a growl. I saw movement to my left but ignored it. "I must say your pets are quite impressive."
"Yes, they do get the job done." Devon said. The spin dropping from the ceiling. It's onyx eyes were shimmering. I reared up high and gave out a hiss. I stepped back two steps and it scuttled toward's me. It leaped with fangs bared. I rolled sideways and slashed off two meer legs. It now fell on the floor again, but shot a web onto the ceiling and hung itself from the ceiling. It hissed again. "You just won't die will you." I said. While stabbing it in the middle of his abdomen. It shrieked an undescribably horrible sound. It fell on it's back and scrunched up it's legs.
Exhaustion surged over me. "Are there anymore?" I asked. Devon didn't answer but her owl protected her completely with it's wings. I slashed at them but my sword just glanced off the stone. I put my sword away and tried to rock the statue but it was cemented to the ground. I could her laughter from inside. I sneered. I reached into her thoughts and saw she was calling the police. I reached further in and forced her to turn off her phone then drop it. "I can't stab you," I thought, "I can't get u out of there, but there no meer resistance." I rubbed the scar on my neck. Than suddenly felt the pain all over me. I healed all my injuries. They made some nasty scars to. "You leave me no choice." I mumbled. I breathed deeply. "Snap!" I yelled while snapping my fingers. There was a muffled scream from inside the wings than hysterical laughter. The wings opened again. Devon ran out and played in the rock dust of her lost pets. I walked behind her and stabbed her in the heart. Her laughs stopped.
I grabbed her cellphone and dialed for Erebus. 555-5763. Black smoke came from the receiver and Erebus was in the room. I bowed. "Mistress, the target is dead." I reported. Erebus looked around. "It seems she is. What happened to this place?" She picked up a torn hoofdkussen, kussen with fluff coming out. I stood. "What happened to you?" Erebus asked. I looked down and saw my torn blood stained cloak. My new scars could be seen in the massive holes. "Nevermind that. I've just have one meer test." Erebus said. "I'M READY NOW!" I yelled.
"NO, you've defeated a child who didn't know who is god parent was till u killed him, and a girl who relied on statues to save her. u must face a true swordsman." Erebus said.
"Who?" I asked with a growl.
"A teenager, I'm sure you've heard of him. Percy Jackson his name is. He lives in New York. He stopped Kronos last summer. I want him dead!" Erebus zei loudly.
I bowed. "It will be done, Mistress." I said. Erebus melted into shadow. I stood up and walked out of the gem store picking up a very pretty amethyst piece. And left a note for Rose. "Sorry about the damages and the death of Devon. Here's some money to help pay for everything.
