It took a while—but they got there. Jake and Peyton may never have been the couple creator Mark Schwahn had as an 'original vision' and perhaps this is why their romantic storyline was short-lived, dubbed door many of those who didn't care as not meant to be, but there is no doubt in my mind that whatever led for the love between them to blossom within each other's hearts is INEVITABLE.

Jake and Peyton grew up in the same town, went to the same school and hung out in the same crowd, and although Schwahn never planned on it, he did take a chance on these characters to interact and their scenes together didn't need neon signs of publicity stunts to reinforce just how it all made sense that the two of them, having the most confusing time of their lives (Peyton with her love driehoek with BL and Jake with his daughter and bitter ex), sought each other for safety and a willing ear to listen. They had a lot going on, with a few share of trust issues of their own, and yet this even helped them to let each other in for some strange reason, and in the first season we have yet to conclude what Schwahn's writing will take them.

One boom Hill is now in its seventh season, with Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie burton leaving the toon to be the epic couple Leyton with their newborn child go in some far away fairy tale land I won't be able to imagine. What JP supporters can only do is watch the earlier seasons and take comfort in knowing that at least Jake and Peyton had indeed love each other so much they were able to solve the problems they had together as a couple. Jake was the first person Peyton truly let all the way in, shattering her People Always Leave philosophy whenever he's around and even when he does keep leaving her for her sake. Peyton was able to toon Jake that he shouldn't run away, that if he loves his daughter, he should fight for her. She fought his battles with him as well, and he was thankful for the opportunities Peyton gave him to feel he was young again, and that he shouldn't let his responsibilities stop him from living his life.

It's cruel (and yet necessary) for Schwahn to discard their love story as less in comparison to his original vision. He wrote it in a way to toon that Jeyton in s3 has no other option but to let their fairy tale see its unhappy end. For Jake to promise he will always be here and for Peyton to strengthen the possibility with someday, we have thought that it was Schwahn's way to foreshadow a reunion. It is only unfortunate that it wasn't so, and that we have to endure the storm of Peyton falling for Lucas because it was 'what was meant to be.' Still, we know for sure that no matter how Schwahn keeps writing in the best way he can to portray LP to overcome all obstacles in order to be together, we fans believe meer in the love lost between Jake and Peyton and, if it can never be gained anymore, there's the beauty in knowing it still has its redeeming moments that would never be forgotten.

Jake and Peyton were inevitable. Their friendship in season one had benefits that helped them be the kind of people who are dependable and fierce. When they were reunited at last in season two, they were even better both as vrienden and, eventually, lovers. They sacrificed a lot of time and effort in order to be together. They managed to keep faith in what the other can do. They didn't need anyone telling them that their relationship was never going to last anyway, and if people ever did doubt them, saying they're too young, they didn't even think about that. What they felt when they're together (the way Peyton is when she smiles and makes Jake and Jenny happy to have her, the way each moment they have seems like it doesn't have to end) is the only thing that matters, and made us fans grow even fonder for them and everything they could be.

Just like what Mr. James zei about Naley love, about at what age do u have to be in order for your love to be real, Jake and Peyton proved that a love that didn't seem like it was going to rise victorious is still a love that was worth having and taking a chance on. Brooke zei that when things change, when life gets hard, true love remains the same...and Jake and Peyton's love had seen the worst and weathered it. They remain to many of their fans as the kind of love that is full of hope and promise even if Jake zei Peyton was meant for better. Well, maybe she was. Maybe it was Lucas after all. Truth for the matter, it's not important if Lucas was the one Peyton ended up with. The facts were already established with JP. One boom Hill may end without JP ever seeing the silver lining, but I know that somehow Peyton had still carried their love around her after all these years, giving her the greatness Jake always knew she had it in her when she couldn't believe in it herself.

Jeyton may never be the original vision the creator of the toon pursued. Still, they were inevitable when they finally happened and nothing is meer undeniable than something that is worth having because you're brave enough to let go of it in the first place, just as what JP did for each other.
