5. Two in each ear and a tongue-ring. Although, the second piercings in my ears have pretty much closed up so it might just technically be three.

It seems weird because I'm a guy but girls should'nt get any either.

Two on both of my earlobes and one higher up on my ear. I really want my tongue pierced and maybe the middle part of my nose [the part between the nostrils], I'm a taurus and it looks cool.

2 in 1 ear and 1 in the other my friends think it really odd as all of them are in my ear lobes apparently its fascinating. really its coz I'm to much of a wimp to get a 4th 1 lol.

theres something i dont get, i always see in movies and stuff that piercing your ear is huge thing in the us? why? here in saudi arabia when a girl is born they get her ears pierced!!

Yeah, I don't know why ear piercings are such a big deal in the US. My best friend in high school wasn't allowed to get her ears pierced at all. Not that it's really the end of the world if a girl doesn't get her ears pierced but I don't get why some parents equate piercings with debauchery.

I wasn't allowed to get them 'til I was 11. But I agree with debs, once your ears are pierced, you suddenly get loads of sets of earrings every birthday and Christmas, most of which I adore. Besides, I think an outfit is only properly accessorised with an earring in each ear and a matching necklace. =)

I'd like to get my belly button pierced, I think. I'm just a bit wimpish, and my whole family would hate it.

Being a guy, I would consider it strange for me to pierce anything. I once considered a small, gold ring in one ear, but that screams "pirate." No. I'll pass.

I got one in each ear last year and thats only because I have funny shaped ears but if you stick cute earrings in, people notice the earrings before the ears. Otherwise I think I would have none.

skeloth, although i don't like to influence peoples decisions about serious things like piercings, i'd say if you want it done, just close your eyes and do it, it's no more painful than your ears
the only thing i would say though is it can take a while to heal if your squimish as well

well i used to have one in each ear but they have pretty much closed up cos' i never wore earings...
because i am not aloud to wear them at cheerleading, and my whole life revolves around it - mostly ♥

I use to have them, but they kept getting infected, so I just let the holes close up.

Now only in my ears but I used to have my lip pierced. But I kinda got bored of it after 3 years... So I took it out and it healed in like 2 days. Though you can still see a little scar on the skin.
I think piercings are pretty cool, and you can always take them out if you don't like them anymore..

I have no idea why it's so popular in the US either. Perhaps it's because you can't find clip-on or screw-on ones as easily (which tend to hurt), or perhaps it's just a symbol of rebellion. Your guess is as good as mine.
I wanted to get pierced ears when I was a teenager, but it wasn't allowed. After I was old enough to move out on my own, I pierced my own - 1 in each ear. I used to love wearing all different kinds, but now they have a tendancy to close up because I hardly ever wear any.

piercing is addictive and i did mot of mine myself with a needlle when i was annoyed! strange but affective therapy!:)

I don't think I'll ever get anywhere other than my ears pierced though. But some people look good with tongue or eyebrow piercings. And I know quite a few people who got their bellybuttons pierced, but since they all did it at the same time it was kind of lame. Tongue piercings are scary though because you can be paralyzed, and it's dangerous to get them too high on the ear too. I think it's supposed to be below eye level or something

im getting 5 more when i turn 18 though
