When I was little, I didn't get to see the first Pocahontas film, as my parents bought me the seconde film (and considering, it came out on my birth year, it was only natural I saw the seconde first and loved the characters, especially John Rolfe, etc :3)
I'm not sure if people somehow understand the message behind the seconde Pocahontas - at least in romantic terms.. :/ But for me, it's only realistic because - let's face it, very few people stay with their first love, of so I've seen in my life.
Therefore, the twist is, in my opinion, realistic. (If you've stayed with your first love for a long time, oh my goodness, that is just - globaal, algemene amazing! :3)
But yes, the sequel is globaal, algemene just as amazing as the first - not to mention, Pocahontas's maturity grows even meer so in the seconde than the first. :>
globaal, algemene answer: I have no hate with Pocahontas 2, nor do I hate the first Pocahontas.
I love them both to an extent! x3
