I absolutely hate it! I just pretend I never watched it...

It was quite bad because it makes the original film seem quite pointless, but i still liked it a little little bit... i just think of it completely differently to the original film. The original film is by far better.

Well the thing is it's history. She did marry Rolfe, she did move to England.

The real Pocahontas did marry Rolfe, but she met John Smith when she was twelve. So I don't see why they had to stay close to the original story in the sequel.

Well, it was bit pointless to make the sequel for Pocahontas, cause it even doesn't have much in common with the first movie, but oh well, at least it's more funny than the first one. :D

I hate this second movie. Hate, Hate, Hate, HATE IT!!! Ugly JRolfe, nauseating movie, John Smith becomes so baaadd, and there is no fun in the story. No quality in the second story. Pocahontas becomes not loyal to her first love! Pocahontas seems old in the 2nd movie, not like young girl in the 1st one.

This 2nd story makes the 1st one seemed useless. What is the use of the compass and why does Pocahontas not want to go to London with John Smith but want to go to London with Rolf?

I loved it because the Characater John Rolfe was so Handsome and Cute. Also if you notice that John Smith was drawn differently.

I really, really hate it as a sequel to the original, mostly because John Smith and Pocahontas didn't stay together after being SO in love in the first movie.

However, I have to concede that on its own merits, it's pretty good movie. It has a good story, great characters, and decent songs. So...yeah.

UGH! I HATE IT! Worst Disney Sequel next to Aladdin: The Return of Jafar! They turned John Smith into a jerk, Pocahontas ended up with John Rolfe(I know She did in real life but I like Her with John Smith more), The art was crappy, and it makes the first one pointless! I know they were trying to follow Historical accuracy but I wish they hadn't done the sequel the way they did! :(

I cant say I hate it! But I really didnt enjoy it at all! I hated how she didnt end up with John Smith :( Really sad that she chose John Rolfe!!!

If you ask me, many of the sequels are tolerable, even enjoyable if you don't compare them to the classic movie, but this one goes too far. Remember, in real life, Pocahontas became a Christian and did not like living with the Powhatans. There was no need for historical accuracy in the sequel after they diverged quite a bit in the first movie. Most of the sequels just are add-ons, but this one actually tarnishes the wondrous story. There was no need for John Rolfe, and if you ask me, is right up there with Cinderella II for Worst Disney Sequel. If you ask me, what they should have done in the sequel is have her get together with John Smith again, then it would be pretty good (probably) for sequel standards.

Umm its okay. Not the best, not the worst. At least it has some good songs.

The second movie destroyed magic created by the first. I know what happened in the real world, but people fake movies all the time, and they should have done that for Pocahontas and John Smith in the 2nd movie.

There was no christian bale, and it had a terrible storyline. i think people could have gotten over the historical innacuricies, and there was no need for a number two.

to be a fan of pocahontas, hate the sequel, I hate the fact that po gets Rolfe, who also hate. is it really true that stayed with him, but she always loved John Smith and when he learned that Smith was in London, went to see her and she stayed with Rolfe only for the fact that they had a child together as I have understood ... What I like about the sequel are the nonsense that says Smith and the song "Where do I go?" is good quality ... (Excuse my English but not speak and write well)

I thing is the Disney sequel I dislike the most, I didn´t liked that she ended up with Jhon Rolfe, I mean I know it´s historically more correct, bur come on! It´s Disney! It doesn´t need to be historically correct! I kinda like to pretend it did´t existed, or that after choosing Rolfe she realized she had made a mistake, go back to Smith, and maybe find a nice English girl for Rolfe, so everyone´s happy.

Same here with me. The sequel absolutely tore my favorite Disney movie of all time apart! I agree it doesn't have to be historically correct. They made Pocahontas fall madly in love with John Smith in the 1st movie and now they try to correct it... in a pathetic way. I think it ruins children's definition of true love and loyalty.

The sequel made the 1st movie seem very pointless. Why make them love each other so much just to break up cause "OMJ look there's a guy named John Rolfe he's hotter(to which I very much disagree, Smith is better)! And they turned Smith from a kind-hearted man to a total jerk who only cares about getting a ship.

Love it more than a lot of other Disney sequels. I absolutely adore the songs. It wasn't as good as the original movie though, because of the animation. But I did like a story-line of the sequel and I think Pocahontas/Rolf story was great and really different to Pocahontas/Smith, which I also love. Both love-stories are appealing to me and I see her and Smith as a first love while her and Rolf are sort of more mature kind of love. Both are so different, but both are great.

After Cinderella 3 it is my favourite Disney sequel. Probably I cannot get all the hate because I love both Pocahontas/Smith and Pocahontas/Rolf and really think both stories where beautiful. Also I find it generally a good sequel and I love the songs.

I don't like it as much as I do the original, but I do think it's a pretty good movie. It's a lot better than some of the sequels that I've seen.

Bought it, watched it, burned it to the ground. I'm not going into detail or I'll destroy my laptop.

TERRIBLE, seriously the first one was amzing Smith and Pocahontas belong together then the next one comes, it is shit basically...... for a start Smith dies right at the start which is a bummer ( he does come back eventually ) and this rolfe guy comes on acting well poncy and is basically a gimp acting all nice to pocahontas so that when Smith ( the lovely Smith who she belongs with ) comes back she leaves him for Rolfe after being soo in love with him, he is amazing and they should be together END OF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!­!!!­!!!

Both of the Pocahontas movies were my favourites as a kid, I wore both tapes out. Pocahontas 2 is not that bad of a movie, it just get a bad rep because Poca picked Rolfe. If you think of it as a stand alone movie, you'll see it's pretty decent as far as the sequels go.

What do you expect?! Most of the disney sequals suck and have bad animation/plot/voice actors so why hate? Disney sequals always go out on dvd before even going to the movie theaters so there is no reason to put your expectations to high. So no hating...just forget it ever existed

ummm... whats so bad about it? its disney people they cant make it exactly like history or exactly like you want!!!! although the thing that bothers me is how smith changed from the first pocahontas..smith was drawn and acted and even had a new voice in the second pocahontas! ralfe seemed very handsome and such a genltmen but a little complainer.... to be honest she should have went on with smith... but im still not kind of sure... although i sing the london song she sings when she is in the tree i sing it in the shower lol

Love it. Even more than the original. Sadly that the animation is not as good, but i still love it. I guess I got tired of the original, but somehow i never get tired of this. And i love John Rolfe, I don't care about history. Even if she would have ended with Kocoum, I'd still love Rolfie <3 (also he's my type xD)

I detest pretty much all of the direct-to-video sequels for this reason. None of them are worthy sequels of the original films in my opinion.

I don't get why so many people hate it, or say bad things about it. I like it just fine. And it kinda in some ways follows the original story of Pocahontas, so it doesn't really matter.

I only hated the sequel because they messed everything up, in general. The songs weren't memorable, and they SUDDENLY turned John Smith into a controlling, oppressive jerk. Before the sequel, he probably never would've called Pocahontas crazy for fighting for her people. But suddenly John Rolfe comes along and for the sake of historical accuracy, everything that happened in the first movie is just demolished.

People seem to hate it mostly due to the romance that was killed with Smith, and people claiming that the movie was trying to be more historically accurate. But I personally loved it ^^ The first movie seemed more like an open ending, so it didn't seem to come completely out of nowhere. Also I just love Rolfe *-*

Not gonna lie, I absolutely fell head over heels for Pocahontas II - mainly, because Pocantas II was the first to become part of my childhood, and it wasn't until I was ten or eleven that I found out there was the first one. xD
But I can't say I dislike Pocahontas.
They're both well-made films and the plots were carried out without much haste or slowness. (Plus, I adore the songs in the movies!)

I love Pocahontas II because Pocahontas seemed more mature, experienced and grown completely into a young adult woman in the time. She was able to give thought to her decisions more and her character was something I very much aspired to be at her age when I was eight. (I still aspire to be, now.)

Like some say, the ending to Pocahontas gave that "to be continued" sense, and I agree. When I compared the two films, it seemed that Pocahontas II had the more 'closed' ending than Pocahontas did (no offence to anyone! Bear in mind, this is my opinion, and I mean no disrespect.)

But -- yes, I mean, that's really all, I have to say.

In the sequel they make John Smith seem like a jerk. They also completely changed the art style and in my opinion didn't even try to make it match the first one. Rolfe was a good character but I hate the fact that she didn't get together with John Smith. I get the voice actors changing, obviously the original ones would probably sound much different now. But honestly, it's what you would expect from a Disney sequel made 40+ years after the first. terrible.

I shall tell you all what this fucking crap is! Its a bad exuse and nothing else. Its will never deserve to be the true sequel.
