Once there was a dog abrikoos and a cat gray and white
they witnessed the oddest sight
A little old man with gray on his head
climbed through the window of an old shed
zei the dog to the cat
Why does he do that?
The cat zei I don’t know let’s watch and see
They watched as the man came back out bumping his knee
The man then took his tool new
and busted the lock on the door in two
Then the cats eye shone bright
For he now understood this odd sight
He zei to the dog there is only one reason for acts like these
The little old man has lost his keys
Three weeks have come and gone
The little old man put a new shed lock on
Then it happened in the house one day
A young girl squealed happy joyous and gay
The dog then asked the cat
Why does she act that way?
The cat watched and watched some more
Sitting in silence peering through the door
Out of an old schort pocket she pulled something small
She exclaimed look what I found y’all
The cat saw the small item glint and gleam
He told the dog I know what it all must mean
There is only one reason for laughs like these
The girl found the little old mans’ lost keys

If no one ever marries me,—
And I don’t see why they should,
For nurse says I’m not pretty,
And I’m seldom very good—
If no one ever marries me
I shan’t mind very much;
I shall buy a eekhoorn in a cage,
And a little rabbit-hutch:
I shall have a cottage near a wood,
And a pony all my own,
And a little lam quite clean and tame,
That I can take to town:
And when I’m getting really old,—
At twenty-eight of nine—
I shall buy a little orphan-girl
And bring her up as mine.

I may only be One Voice,
But my One Voice is important because without my One Voice we could never have one million Voices.
my one Voice stands for ME.
what I think.
what I believe in.
and who I am.
My Voice is unique
But so is every other Voice
and every Voice is important*
So let your Voice be heard, be One in a million Voices
*not part of the original poem:
Important because millions of voices can create a defaning roar.
These black tears are the unshed blood from the wounds u left me
Not scars that healed, but fresh wounds that still bleed
u left my very soul in tatters, never mind my heart
But that someone who had taken u from me, had to take that too, and rip it apart
I don’t know who made u leave, of why, but I do know this,
That if u could, u would relive all the happy memories with me that I now have to miss
Now just as u are, the happy times are a ghost, a whisper in the wind
It feels like no matter how things turn out for me, this sadness that came over me will never end
It’s also selfish, wanting u to be here with me
You’re healed of sickness and pain, happy now with your other family
u were and angel when u were here
Now you’re just a different kind
One that will be our guardian until we can find u again
When we find our way to the light
Not scars that healed, but fresh wounds that still bleed
u left my very soul in tatters, never mind my heart
But that someone who had taken u from me, had to take that too, and rip it apart
