I feel neutral about Hitomi; I wish that we as the viewers got to know a little more about her backstory, how she knew Kyousuke beforehand, and I wish there were some Hitomi-exclusive scenes where we could see if she ever noticed how her friends were more busy than usual. (She never did find out about magical girls in the anime... it would have been interesting if she did!)

I agree, I think my biggest problem with her is how under-used she is, despite her effect on the plot, rather than any flaws in her character.

I don't really think bad of Hitomi and its not her fault for making Sayaka curse the world and turn into a grief seed. It seems like a lot of people think that. Its Sayaka's thought that she was a zombie that made her unable to tell Kamijou her feelings. I don't think positive of her either though. Theres nothing important that she did in the anime

I hated her up until Sayaka said she was cool with her. And besides Kyouske loves Sayaka anayway!! (Sorry Violin but she's busy with Kyoko!)

Hitomi wasn't that bad.

I respected her for confronting Sayaka with the suspicion that chasing her feelings for Kyousuke might cause her friend pain, but in terms of her personality, I thought she was a bit of a snob, and didn't like her very much, personally. Considering that she was brought up by a rich family, I know that seems like a stupid thing to point out, though....

Even after knowing her soul is in her soul gem, still has a little confidence left. After Hitomi confessing, balance of confidence strikes to zero.

Well, off to visit your mother!
