Tough choosing between Madoka and Sayaka... Madoka's character development formed her into a protagonist that I consider as one of anime's best yet, but, especially considering that I usually don't like self-righteous characters, the execution of Sayaka's character really hit home for me. I found her to be the best representation for a magical girl in the world of PMMM and she was very realistic.

I'm also torn between both Sayaka and Madoka, as I do find them to be the best written characters in the series but... Something about the way they developed Madoka is what gave her my vote here.

Why is Mami winning??? She barely had any screen time let alone enough time to even develop. Don't people know what "well-executed" means??????

But she is though...

I think Mami was actually well-executed, especially for the time she had. She was the magical girl who had no other choice but to become one. She was more of the blind one, who really didn't see what was happening. All she knew was Kyubey saved her life, and someone was trying to kill him. So I mean, yes she had little screentime, but she was a very good character.

Sayaka! Her story and sad finish is so magic... Because it show to us how Magical Girls work.
