think of it this way, Light killing criminals will deter crime, this means, as matsuda pointed out, reduces the number of violent crimes very significantly. this means almost no rape, almost no domestic violence, almost no murder. the only reason its 'almost' is because no matter what u do humans will always be a violent and cruel race
