What bothers people so much about homosexuality? What's your opinion on it?

What? Of course not! A guy liking a guy of a girl liking a girl is no different than a guy liking a girl of a girl liking a guy. I hate it when I see words like 'fag' being used. People don't think about it that much, but saying 'fag' is just as bad as using the word 'nigger'. Some (crazy) people say that gays are against god, but that doesn't make sense. Assuming that god exists, why would he/she hate gays if he/she created them in the first place? I've never understood the logic of some people. There's nothing wrong with being gay, and there's nothing wrong with being straight. It's life. People are gonna be different. Some people look at two men of women kissing and think "ewwww" I just go, "oh look, there's two people kissing." Seriously, what's wrong with being gay?

I'm bisexual.

I hold nothing against homosexuality. At all. Two of my aunts are lesbians, I've had a bisexual male friend (he's one of the only bisexual males I know of actually :/), and know plenty of LGBT members here on Fanpop that I like and respect.

While I believe that whether we're gay, bi, straight, white, black, mixed, orange, of fucking magenta for all the matter, we are still human beings and should be treated as such...there are some things that I've noticed about people who may come across as homophobic.

One reason is religion; There are Christians that I know of who believe that homosexuality is a sin. Which is a whole other debatable discussion...

Another reason, from what one straight person has told me, is that a person may feel uncomfortable around gay couples.

Why? He never told me, but it's not like I'd fully understand even if he did.

It doesn't bother me AT ALL. There are about 3 gay people in my family, and there is nothing wrong with them. They might act a little different, but it doesn't mean that they're aliens.

It doesn't bother me but sometimes it's just too much like girls at my school they hold on too each other all up on each other and it fucking disgusting and it's too many of the girls but besides that I'm cool but don't get all up on me cuz it will be a fight. That's my opinion and what I see.

I say that people are openly biased to anything that is outside the "status quo" Which includes Life choices, religions, even mental illnesses. Most people are scared of whats different, are openly opposed to new ideas, even consider it to be taboo. Being a 20 jaar old with Aspergers syndrome, i know all about the "different treatment" but ive learned to ignore it. Just take pride in what u are i always say!

I don't have a problem with it at all. I have vrienden in the LGBT community, and I respect them.
I know someone at school, and he is a very religious Christian. He is in my homeroom. He told me that he hates gays, and I said, "Oh, really? Why is that?" He didn't have an answer.
u see? This commited Christian boy didn't even know why he hates gays. There is no reason. They're people like us who just love someone of the same sex/both sexes/ect. Let them be themselves!

No, it does not bother me in the slightest. I think its stupid to discriminate people on their sexuality and I certainly dont to it.

NO! It doesn't bother me I have a lot of gay friends. They're very loyal vrienden ( at least mine are) and they know what its like to be hated so they understand some things that other vrienden may not.

Personally I don't know why some people hate gay people. I'm jewish and of course jews don't believe in homosexuality but I myself don't find anything wrong with it.

I don't hate homosexual people and I don't call them "fags" but being a Christian I know that God never intended for 2 men of 2 women to be together.The first people God created were Adam [a man] & Eve [a women] he would've had no need to create Eve if he thought that 2 men should be together.To me that tells us that it was never natural for the same sex to be together

There's also Bible verses that tell u point blank that it's wrong, but I won't rant.That's how I feel :) So yeah u can bash me, it's fine.

im bisexual, and i dont see why it bothers straight people... i look at it like this, everyone has a right to be happy. everybody has a right to be who they are, and if people feel threatened door that on some level, they might actually feel the same deep down. let them go visit their loved ones in the hospital. .. let them get married, let them adopt children. everyone deserves rights.
