I don't like the term "maid". Makes it seem like their slaves and as if their your posession. I just call maids auntie of something, In Egypt, we used to have an auntie (your term for "maid") and she was super nice. We were roomates, and even though I moved, we still keep in touch through skype,email, letters, postcards, etc.

well, u might be right about that, however she definitly isn't our slave, she gets paid properly, and refering to her as "auntie" makes it sound like she was my aunt with is kindda weird lolZ. But yeah,she is super nice and stuff :-D, but I don't think I would ever try to keep in touch with her cuz we change maids very often
