I'd don't think it should be about gender when its a formal challenge between two martial artists. She's from a tribe of amazons, its not man and woman, it's two warriors facing off in an honorable battle.

Shampoo doesn't do any chi attacks, I really think Honey could win.

hmm... so far the only response in favor of Shampoo reads Honey wouldn't fight her, but skill wise I think it might go either way, but for the moment, atleast, i'm voting in favor of Honey-Sempai.

At some point I start to wonder if the reason Mousse still lost to Shampoo later in the manga was because He couldn't stand the thought of hurting her and he didn't like the thought of Shampoo marrying him because of their laws and would rather she love him willingly. Cause at some point Mousse does get a lot stronger and he's been fighting against Ranma all this time. In the manga it shows you how both Mousse and Ryoga become stronger and faster opponents due to their constant fights and rivalry with Ranma.

I think, given Honey actually accepts tto face her in combat, He'd probably win in my opinion.
