She has a long history of appalling statements, so it's not like this is a one-off, out-of-character event. There were some major problematics with the show getting the reboot anyway, and they were waiting for an excuse to can it that couldn't be pinned solely on her "politics". She gave them that excuse. Her continued behaviour after the tweet and towards the rest of the show's cast also makes it clear that ABC made the right call. I feel very sad for the other actors in the show, I feel sad for me for no more Darlene in my life, and I especially feel sad that such horrific racism not only persists, but receives support from so many. posted een jaar geleden.

If she had been a liberal and made an equally inappropriate comment about a white person there may have been an uproar but the show would go on, unscathed!!!
