yes, I liked Hugh in that role of Edmund :).

Both were excellent, in my opinion. But Hugh Grant was perfect as Edward :)

Hugh Grant was just too flirty though he was good.

Dan Stevens gave Edmund a little more "backbone" than Hugh Grant did.

Okay I admit I haven't seen Dan Stevens play Edward. The reason why I chose him is because I don't like Hugh Grant. Yes I know a lot of people like him, I personally don't, he is the only thing in this movie that I didn't like. Generally the movies he stars in I dislike: however he did not ruin this movie for me, neither Bridget Jone's Diary, Love Actually, & Music and Lyrics.

To be completely honest, there is just something about Hugh that bugs me, so, although he was amazing in quite a lot of scenes, I had to go with Dan Stevens.

However, that is not the only reason. I just think that while I loved Hugh's Edward, Dan just went above and beyond all of my expectations...his chemistry with Hatty, the way he delivers his lines, the way he holds himself. Just everything about his portrayal was exactly the way I'd pictured his character, not to mention the heart-melting looks he gives Elinor...
