I can come up with lyrics super easy, I just can never think of what kind of melody I should put them to...

Lyrics is easy (For me) I just write me feelings on a paper and i've got it... but a melodie...Its just, when I finally got a melodie, And im singing it... its always like: No...no this look to much like an outher song...

Neither is really that hard; but for me lyrics are very easy to remember so I picked thinking of melodies :3

that's why I write poems, they're lyrics without melody

While I've written a lot of poems before, I rarely put them to music. My poems don't really feel like they should be songs, somehow. However, I have put other people's poems to music before. The first song I ever wrote (when I was 7) was a melody to a poem I liked. I've also written tons of compositions that are just music and no lyrics. Writing an original melody can still be challenging, but I love composing music and find it enjoyable, so I guess I naturally have more experience with music than I do with lyrics.
