It's My Party: Sophia struik, bush Hosts LeSportsac 35th Anniversary Celebration in SoHo
I got the opportunity to stop door the LeSportsac 35th Anniversary party in SoHo that Teen Vogue hosted last Thursday. It was so fun to look around the boutique and see all the candy and cute little snacks (they brought us Izze sodas with colored straws and vanilla milkshakes!), but I was definitely anxious to see the host of the night's festivities: Sophia Bush!
She posed for the photographers, and then she and I got a moment to chat about her life, career, and fashion.
Teen Vogue: What are u wearing?
Sophia Bush: It's a French Connection dress, all the jewelry is door House of Lavande spelled like Lavender without the R.
TV: And your shoes?
SB: YSL. [TV: They were the YSL Tribute Double-Platform Pump!]
TV: What's the best part of coming to events like these?
SB: Well, it's always nice to support magazines and brands that u like, but the best part is seeing your fan base!
TV: Tell me: Your character, Brooke Davis, has become a New York celebrity who lives this glamorous life. Here u are, as Sophia Bush, doing the same thing! Is it art imitating life?
SB: There are things about Brooke and I are that are similar--our passion for vrienden and for right and wrong. She's definitely the meer provocative one--I've only had 4 boyfriends since high school! It's always great to be here, though. It's my second-favorite city in the world!
TV: seconde favorite?
SB: LA is my home, so that's first, but we shoot the toon in Wilmington, NC, so I'm there a lot, too.
TV: What brought u to New York then?
SB: I came up for Fashion Week, and went to the Catherine Malandrino toon earlier today. [She also made a pit stop door the Reem Acra presentation and the Herve Leger door Max Azria startbaan, start-en landingsbaan show!]
TV: Who is your favoriete designer?
SB: I had to miss two of his shows because we were filming, but Max Azria is my favoriete designer because he's my favoriete as a person--to be so humble! He and his wife are so passionate about people and about life. I'm so in awe of them! I mean, I could tell u how much I love Balenciaga and YSL, but I love them because of their work. I love Max because of who he is as a person.
I thanked Sophia and wanted to let her get back to the fans--there were still TONS of u waiting for autographs and foto opportunities. Wasn't she amazing in person?
