I think the old version is WAY better. The plots for the new version just seem kind of strange... It kind of seems to me that the writers are running out of ideas for the show.

Exactly.. Plus his voice sounds different. I grew up with the old version; the new episodes mostly just seem strange... And less sophisticated (I know the show isn't lol, but compared to the old ones that had a slightly more adult humor)

I pick the old version of Spongebob because well I was born in the era of when Spongebob was less annoying.
Back then the story held ground, and the episodes grasped humor that surpassed most cartoons. Now it seems like they are recycling the era, over and over. It is to the point of being annoying

OMG his voice sounds so much better now the characters look way better like a neon and the show is so much funnier its benn getting funnier every episdoe and theyre not running out of ideas thats not possible! Patricks dumber though but that makes it funnier! :D

not sure about season 9, the only season 9 episode i saw was Squid Baby
