The Original ster Trek Box features three cds, each disc containing muziek from two episodes from the series.
CD1 features score from the original pilot episode 'The Cage', featuring Captain Christopher Pike. Then it goes on from 'Where No Man Has Gone Before', featuring everyone's favourite Captain, James T Kirk.
CD2 features score from season one episodes 'Shore Leave' and 'The Naked Time'. kust-, oever Leave, if u recall, was quite a light hearted episode, featuring some fun scores for each of the crew. The Naked Time mixed both drama and fun action into one, both featuring some memorable tracks.
CD3 features score from season two episodes 'The Doomsday Machine' and 'Amok Time'. 'Doomsday' was an edge of your zitplaats, stoel episode where Captain Kirk's life hung in the balance as his ship was taken over door a crazy Commodore. The muziek featured worked well to set the tone and pace of the action, even if we knew Kirk was likely to win the no win scenario. 'Amok Time' features some of the best muziek of the series, the highlight of course being the muziek playing as vrienden Kirk and Spock are forced to fight to the death, thanks to Spock's twisted wife. Thankfully he dumps her at the end.
Most of the muziek u may recognize from other episodes as the score was reused again. All three CDs open with the ster Trek Theme, and end with the end credits. CD1 credits however have a slightly different sound from the two following CDs but the muziek is still entertaining.
If u remember how much u enjoyed the muziek from the series, then u should check this collection out. Definitely worth one listen.

"Uhura" comes from the Swahili word uhuru, meaning "freedom". Nichols states in her book 'Beyond Uhura' that the name was inspired door her having had with her a copy of Robert Ruark's book Uhuru on the dag she read for the part.
When producer Robert Justman explained to Roddenberry what the word uhuru meant, he changed it to Uhura and adopted that as the character's name.
Coincidentally, the end credits of the film ster Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country incorrectly refer to Uhura as "Uhuru".
