Today is Taylor Swift Day across the Curbediverse as we celebrate the reigning queen of pop and her adventures in real estate and beyond. Why? Because 13 is her lucky number, and we heart her like a Valentine. Long live.
If there\'s one thing that defines Taylor Swift\'s persona, it\'s that she forcefully insisted Jay-Z have brunch with her. But if there\'s a second thing that defines Taylor Swift\'s persona, it\'s having highly visible relationships with famous dudes, breaking up with them in one dramatic form or another, and then writing totally transparent songs about the whole thing. She\'s young, famous, rich, and beautiful—where else is she going to mine angst for her pop songs? So on this Taylor Swift day, let\'s take a few minutes for all those ex-boyfriends—from Joe to Harry—left over the years in mighty Taylor\'s wake, and for their houses, where they\'ve surely sobbed uncontrollably while dancing alone to "Blank Space."
↑ Joe Jonas, the One Who Dated Taylor Swift, dated Swift in 2008 before infamously breaking up with her in a 27-second phone call. Swift never mentioned it to anyone. LOL, JK. A few years later, in May, 2014, Jonas reportedly bought this 1923 house just below Laurel Canyon in a not terribly fashionable part of Hollywood, paying $2.595 million.
star Taylor Lautner in 2009 before probably breaking his heart. Reports say he still lives with his family in a three-bedroom tract house in Santa Clarita, which they\'ve owned since 2004.
↑ Like most other beautiful, famous, impressionable women, Swift dated John Mayer for a while (in late 2009/early 2010). At that time, he owned a condo in New York\'s celebrity-packed 225 Lafayette Street, purchased in 2005 for $2,173,690 and just sold about a year ago for $3.91 million.
↑ In 2006, Mayer bought this weirdo house in LA\'s Pacific Palisades for $1.75 million, and apparently decked it out in gauzy drapes, bare mattresses, pastels, and even a disco ball. He sold it in 2011 for $1.292 million.
↑ Today, Mayer has been driven off the coasts and lives on a 15-acre ranch in Montana.
↑ Swift dated actor Jake Gyllenhaal in late 2010, when he still owned this 1948 house in the Hollywood Hills, bought in 2005 for $2.5 million. He sold it off last year for $3.2625 million.
↑ Swift seems to always be down for cuffing season, hooking up with One Direction\'s Harry Styles in late 2012 and staying with him through the winter into early 2013. In early 2014, Styles reportedly bought a mini-compound (with a bridge!) in LA\'s Beverly Crest, renovated by architect Alejandro Ortiz, for $4 million.
