I dont realy know what kind of magic raven uses usually but i know its not "dark magic". in the episode Spellbound(i think thats what its called) Malcheor trys to teach her dark magic and she refuses to use it in te end and goes back to her usual magic, and in the comics, since she was the daughter of trigon, the peacefull peple of Azarath took her in and taught her their magic, hoping to stop her prophesy(sp?).Sory i dont have a direct answer, but i hope this helped
Mostly Black magic, spells and Azarathien abilities that she inherits from her Mother, Arella. She also uses some Light Magic(when she is White Raven) and knows some hand to hand combat. Don't ask how I know.
