Chapter 1: Hagimari no Story-
The Beginning Story

On the 311th dag of the year, the dag that the artificial light of Amberground flickered and momentarily shut off, a set of twins were born in the only house of Coza Bel. A boy and a girl.
The mother, Anne Seeing, an Albisian with white hair and red eyes, held her two newborn children in her arms and noticed that something was wrong. Neither child was crying. Both the girl and the boy were poisoned door a disease that would soon kill the two if action was not made. And that's when a miracle happened.
Anne Seeing laid both of her children down on the bed and went over to a small box that was hiding atop a shelf. As Anne Seeing opened the box; the contents were two mystical stones called the Spirit Amber, one red and one white.
Upon returning to the side of the bed, Anne Seeing looked at her children and smiled. They were holding hands.
Anne Seeing held a Spirit Amber in each of her hands above the boys left eye and the girls right. She breathed out slowly and carefully pressed down onto their eyes.
"These two Spirit Ambers are a fragment of your heart. The two of u are now bond together, my dear twins."
And as those words were said, a bright light shined throughout the room and both the boy and the girl started to cry.
Anne Seeing took both children into her arms and looked at, first the boy and then the girl.
"Lag, Lana, this is the beginning of your journey."
Days, weeks, months went door as the twins stayed alive in perfect health. The Spirit Amber that had replaced one of their eyes, had cured both of their fatal disease. All three could live happily in their house.... Until that dag came.
At the sound of the 1st bell, Lana awoke in a fit of tears. Her tired mother scooped her daughter up and took Lana downstairs so she would not wake Lag. Anne Seeing sat in front of the brand while rocking the baby. Slowly, Lana drifted back to sleep.
As Anne Seeing walked towards the stairs, a knock came at the door. It seemed strange that someone would come to Coza Bel at the time of the 1st klok, bell and especially since there was barely any travelers near that area, but Anne Seeing made sure Lana was still asleep and went to open the door.
Immediately after the door was opened, the room went cold. In the door way stood a man lean and tall, but also held a very dark aura. Behind him stood a group of men and a carriage.
Anne Seeing showed no emotion and looked at the stranger for him to introduce himself. The man slowly cleared his throat and began...
"Anne Seeing, we are members of the government from the capital Akatsuki."
Anne quickly glanced at the artificial light shining in the sky above the capital. The man continued.
"We have been informed that u have gegeven birth to a child that was born with a disease that was fatal. But obviously," he gestured to Lana,"the child is still alive. So tell me, how is she alive?"
Anne did not answer.
"The leaders of the government suspect that u healed the child in a miraculous way and zei to bring u to Akatsuki if u did not provide the bron to your child's cure."
He began to step toward Anne Seeing, but he froze and everyone else behind gasped in both astonishment and curiosity.
Anne Seeing looked down to see that Lana had woken up. Because her hair had not yet grown, considering that she was only a few months old, both of her eyes were exposed out in the open and that meant the Spirit Amber too. Lana's ultramarijn eye and the white Spirit Amber looked up at her mother and held her gaze for a long time until the man took Lana from Anne's hands and held her up in the air. "So is this how u cured the child? Replacing her eye for a Spirit Amber? She would make a fine specimen in Akatsuki."
Lana was, at first, stunned as the man held her up in the air, but seconden later, started to cry. The warmth of her mother was gone and replaced with the touch of cold, unloving hands.
"Please, give her back," Anne zei calmly, but with a hint of anger.
The man holding Lana brought her into a cradling position, but she still continued to cry.
"Under the order of the government, we are taking this child to be examined and experimented on in the capital."
The man gave Anne Seeing an evil smile and turned to walk away, but Anne grabbed him door the arm and turned him back around.
The man raised his hand to slap her down, but froze to see that she was only going to say goodbye.
Anne Seeing touched her Lana's tiny hand and smoothed short white hair. She felt the regret of not being able to protect her daughter. Anne leaned in and gave her child a kiss on the cheek, but at the same time, slipped something in the pocket of Lana's clothes.
"I love you, Lana," she whispered as a tear slid from her eye,"You may not see me again, but find away back to your brother."
As Anne Seeing pulled away, the cold man sneered at her and walked out the door, carrying the small Albisian child out the door and away from her mother. Lana again started to cry as she felt herself moving away from her mother, away from the comfort of her home, away from Coza Bel, and towards the capital city of Akatsuki. And as Lana began to cry, so did her twin brother Lag.
That is how it all began...
