Chapter 14 ; Losing your memory

Riley was in her room punching the uithangbord continuously. "Fuck u Andrew, Fuck u Amelia, and Fuck u Mason!" she zei screaming to no one in particular, when Amelia came charging into the room.
"Riley, what in the world?" She zei screaming.
Riley whipped around and glared at Amelia, "Amelia get the hell out."
"Riley, no what's going on?" Amelia zei worried for her little sister. She'd seen Riley angry before but this was a new kind of angry it was almost scary.
"GET OUT."
"No, this is my house!"
"Fine then I'll get out" Riley zei glaring and grabbing her jacket. Amelia knew right away that Riley was serious.
She sighed, "okay, okay, stay. I'll get out."
Amelia walked out of Riley's room and sat down volgende to Belle on the sofa. "I don't know what Riley's problem is!" she zei annoyed.
Belle scoffed, "Amelia are u serious?"
"what?"
"You basically charged in here and demanded that your sister change for YOUR boyfriend, who door the way is being a real ezel right now." Belle zei rolling her eyes.
"Listen, I know Andrew's being an ezel and I don't know what's going on with him, but I'll figure it out. And as for Riley I want her to change because her attitudes bad, not because of Andrew."
"Sure this has nothing to do with Andrew."
"Okay so maybe a little" Amelia said.
"Yeah, listen Amelia---I know I was rooting for u and Andrew, but this isn't the Andrew I was rooting for and he's making u a different Amelia. Fix it." Belle zei getting up and Amelia knew she was right.
Before Belle left the room she added one meer thing, "And try going into Riley's room nicely---I think she really needs someone to talk to right now."
Amelia was just on her way to Riley's room when she almost ran into Andrew.
"Hey", she sighed, stepping back. "You ok?"
"I'm sorry", he said. "I don't know what's wrong with me."
"You're sorry? Ok. Go tell that to Riley", Amelia said, crossing her arms.
Andrew looked at her in disbelief for a moment before saying: "It really is gonna be like this, right? There's no u without her."
"You've always known that", Amelia said, and when Andrew knew she wasn't going to say anything else, he nodded, walking past her into Riley's room, though not before knocking on the door.
Riley looked up as Andrew walked in and sighed. "What could u possibly want?"
"I came to apologize", Andrew said. "I was out of line before. I have no right to tell u what to do. It's not like I'm.. anything."
Riley forced a smile. "You are something. You're the man my sister loves. But.. you're not my father. And she's not my mother. u both need to.. leave me alone."
Andrew nodded and sat volgende to Riley on the bed. "I never had a family. Not really. Not anyone who cared about me. u have your sister, and she loves you."
Riley looked at him strangely. "I thought your parents lived in Arizona."
"They do, but they.. They never really understood me", Andrew rushed to say. "Why do u think I'm spending all my time here?"
Riley chuckled. "Do u really love my sister, Andrew?"
He took his time in answering, but then he nodded and said: "I really do."
Riley nodded. "Then all I want from u is two things."
Andrew sat up straight, waiting.
"Never hurt her. Keep her veilig and make her happy. Even if she won't let you", Riley said.
"I will", Andrew smiled.
"And second. Please be on my side. At least sometimes. Amelia can be so.."
"Overly protective", Andrew nodded. "You got it, kid. I'm really sorry. It was just.. bad day."
Riley nodded. "Hey, we all have some of those." She patted him in the back and then got up. "I feel like baking. Come on. Let's go wave the white flag."
Andrew chuckled and followed her out of the room.
Riley and Andrew were laughing and baking a cake when Amelia walked in and smiled at them, "Perfect" she thought she then saw Lucas walk up to Riley.."Uh oh" Amelia zei suddenly getting worried and she began to walk towards Riley.
Riley was staring intently at Lucas, "What's up Luke?"
"Can we talk?" Lucas asked looking at her softly.
"Yeah, sure..." Riley zei gesturing for him to follow her to her room.
"Hey, Riles, Andrew and I will be out here finishing the cake, okay?" Amelia zei smiling at Riley. Riley just nodded her head and walked off with Lucas.
Andrew sighed, "She's going to be fine. She's just talking to a boy."
"I know that" Amelia snapped.
Riley and Lucas entered her bedroom and closed the door behind them. Riley sat down on her bed and Lucas leaned up against the wall.
"Listen, Riley. I'm really sorry about what happened between u and Mason."
Riley looked at Lucas confused, "What, it's not your fault."
"I somehow feel responsible."
"Well don't. Honestly, I shouldn't have led him on...I shouldn't have led the both of u on...I really did love Mason but unfortunately that love faded. I still care about him, but...yeah. It's not your fault." Riley zei smiling at Lucas reassuring him.
"So we're...good?" Lucas asked hesitating.
Riley smiled, "Yeah, we're good."
"And was Mason right? Do u feel something for me?" Lucas rushed out deciding to just get it over with.
Riley looked up shocked at Luke's bluntness when suddenly the door opened and the man of the hour, Mason himself walked in.
Mason's eyes widened at seeing Lucas and Riley together, "Look, I'm sorry I should have knocked, habit I guess. I just wanted to know what my sleeping arrangements were going to be but I'll just go ask Amelia." he zei quickly leaving the room.
Riley sighed, and looked at Lucas "Honestly, Lucas it doesn't matter, because as long as Mason is in this house nothing's going to happen between us because I can't have another situation like THAT happen and I can't put him through that."
Lucas nodded her head and saw Riley tightly gripping onto her bed sheets.
"Are u okay?" He asked worriedly.
"I'm trying to avoid punching you, nothing personal...punching people just makes me calm down" Riley stated like it was the most normal thing ever. This caused Lucas to burst into laughter.
"What?" Riley snapped.
"You're just impossible", Lucas smiled.
Riley sighed. "Don't be charming. It's not helping the cause", with that she left the room.
"What did u say to Riley that made her so willing to have a change of heart?" Amelia asked quietly as she and Andrew were baking.
"I just told her the truth", Andrew said.
"Which is?"
Andrew smiled. "That I love you. That I was having a bad day. And I may have promised to take her side on everything from now to eternity."
Amelia nodded, but didn't look at him.
"What's wrong?"
Amelia looked up at him. "Alaric hasn't made a move, not for a while. And the.. the weird passing out thing was.. Weird. And as far as we know, completely pointless."
Andrew tensed up a little. "Yeah.."
"I just.. What was the point?" Amelia groaned.
"Hey, don't think about it. We'll find out when we find out. u should be grateful that we're veilig for now", Andrew smiled gently.
Amelia raised her eyebrows. "That's what u think we should do?"
"Yeah", Andrew said, and the smile was gone from his face.
Amelia scoffed and walked out of the room.
3 DAYS LATER
Andrew walked into an abandoned warehouse. He was breathing hard and his chest was in pain. He grabbed onto the side of his stomach and leaned over. "I can't do this for much longer" breathed out Andrew. He suddenly fell to the floor and started breathing even harder. He then dragged himself to a door on the floor. He opened it up and took out a needle, injecting himself with the needle. His pain suddenly began to vanish and he started to get his strength back. He stood up and smiled.
