Throughout the movie I had many thoughts and opinions, was too busy watching to write them down but some characters left lasting impressions and this article is sure to rank them out:

1. Thorin Oakenshield - His character goes through so much throughout this 144 minute movie, he is shown to embody the greed the dwarves are known for later to show the bravery they are also known for. By the end he has proven himself a worthy king who leads his army of fourteen{add or take} to make a difference. ooh and his fight scene with the bad guy was legendary!

~ Bilbo Baggins - He s a diplomat by all means, put in a difficult situation which he resolves with his own morals

~ Legolas Greenleaf He particularly makes a difference within the last of the war scenes when his faithful resources of arrows run short he is requited to swords and knifes which was interesting to see.

~ Thranduil - Not such a bad guy after all eh? He was quite likable in this installment, him and his moose made a nice pair especially when it came to slashing 10 orcs with one swift movement of the blade.

~ Saruman the White - Ser Christopher Lee give the man some credit he is 91 years old, I was anxious watching his scene which I could imagine could have required a stunt double, and his face is so slick!!!!

~ Galadriel - Her scene were interesting to watch, her and her bunch of wizards coming to get Gandalf out of trouble, her scene with her casting the spell brought on some creepy special effects which made me glad I didn't bring my lil brother along. Throughout her performance I couldnt help but wonder didn't Cate Blanchett win an Oscar for Best Actress last year?

~ Alfrid - In case you're wondering he is the weasel and coward of the handful townsfolk in the movie. The one with black hair and mustache, the one who wears a corset in order to avoid fighting and later stuffs his bra with gold and runs away haha he had some funny lines, at least he was harmless.

~ The townswoman - Very minor character but she was badass, we first come across her when she gets into a hissy fit with Alfrid over a piece of clothing, then she convinces the women to help in the fighting!! I believe her to be the feminist of Middle Earth. Truly striking character

~ Thorin's cousin - remember his lead up was good when Gandalf mentioned Thorin was the easier one to negotiate with, I remember laughing at that. Dáin was his name, and his minor part was funny. I love the way the Elves and Dwarves eventually teamed up with each other that was a powerful moment!

~ Bard the Bowman - Up tops for killing the dragon and staying so cool in stressful situations that put his family's lives at stake. He then becomes the people's moral leader, as he should have been. Then he teams up with Thranduil which was an interesting duo to see!

Characters that missed it:
~ Gandalf - It just wasnt his time to shine
~ Tauriel - She was nice but such an annoyance!!!
 He's also very good looking!

At Beorn’s Hall to Mirkwood:

- The company is chased to Beorn’s house door Beorn himself (Beorn doesn’t like dwarves, but when he discovers they’re running from Azog he helps them instead).

- "Beorn is the last shape-shifter in the whole of Middle-earth. Most of his kind were killed door Azog, so when Beorn finds out that The Company are fleeing from Azog, he agrees to help them."

- Beorn tells Gandalf that the rumors of "a great evil" in Dol Guldur are true, which is what makes Gandalf decide to go there himself and leave Thorin & Company to face Mirkwood alone.

At the Halls of the Elven-king...

I saw the light fade from the sky
On the wind I heard a sigh
As the snowflakes cover my fallen brothers
I will say this last goodbye

Night is now falling
So ends this dag
The road is now calling
And I must away
Over heuvel and under boom
Through lands where never light has shone
By silver streams that run down to the sea

Under cloud, beneath the stars
Over snow one winter’s morn
I turn at last to paths that lead home pagina
And though where the road then takes me
I cannot tell
We came all this way
But now comes the dag
To bid u farewell
Many places I have been
Many sorrows I have seen
But I don’t...
