 Remember who u are!
Remember who you are!
Hi guys, I will be doing another comparison between 2 movies. Only this time, it is the Lion King and Titanic. Two highest grossing films of our generations!

The Lion King

This was the very first movie that I watched and I love all of the songs. However, the story is based on Shakespeare's Hamlet: Prince of Denmark. Unlike the latter, Mufasa's death is really graphic that I feel disturbed about it and hearing Mufasa's scream down to his death if I were in Simba's place!
Scar is portrayed as a paranoid psychopath, whenever somebody mention his dead brother. He will flies into rage! In fact, he reminds me of Caledon Hockley in Titanic. I will be talking about that later, Simba is of course a carbon copy of Hamlet, and he also sees his dad's spirit later in the movie. It was a very motivational and moving scene that I cried my hart-, hart out!
Unlike The Lion King, Hamlet has a sad ending in which the titel character dies after he fights with his uncle. Before this, he tells Horatio to fulfill his responsibilities as King of Denmark and rule the country peacefully.

Titanic

While watching this again, the film reminds me of West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet. This is because a poor guy was in a relationship with a rich girl, unfortunately Rose's mother disapproves because she sets up Rose with Cal for money and for her own personal gains.
Okay, as promised when I zei that Scar reminds me of Caledon, is that when the ship sank. The latter reviews his true nature of being a psychopath when he attempts to kill Jack! His jealousy made him that way, so that's why Caledon and Scar are equal, especially in personality and their motives!
Speaking of Jack, he is a combination of Tony and Romeo. Mainly because they were being ridiculed, especially Tony and Jack during the Rumble and the ship was sinking respectively.
Finally, the ending when Jack dies it reminds me of the ending of West Side Story. Due to the fact that Tony died, unlike the latter, Jack died of Hypothermia while Tony was slain door Chino. But in the end, Rose's spirit reunites with Jack and all those whose lives were perished.

Shakespearean Mood

So, if you're a Shakespearean fan, u will notice the similarities in these movies.

Then I saw someone running towards my direction. I asked the leeuwin if she okay?
She Replied With an accent "I'm Alright".
I Asked " Why Are u Running"?
She answered " Hunters they are chasing me I think I've them and I lost my pack and got separated from them".
She started Sobbing.
I answered "I'm sorry."
I asked "What's your name"?
She Replied" Desary."
I promised her "I'll help u get back to your pack"

Princess Kairia, was engrossed as she listened to her grandfather the former king Simba, as he told her a story of one of the adventures he had with her grandmother when he was a cub.
"There Grandma and I were cornered door the hyenas they were moving in for the kill. I did the only thing I could think of, I roared at them." Kairia looked at her grandfather impressed and asked him
"Wow Grandpa did that scare them off?"
Simba laughed heartily at his granddaughter and zei "No, Dear One I'm afraid it didn't."
Kairia asked confused "But Grandpa if it didn't work then how did u and Grandma get away?"...

An archetype is a model device commonly used in media, and there are quite a few of them present in The Lion King. Sometimes archetypes are used to allow the viewer to make a better connection with a character of narrative, sometimes they are used to symbolise something important, and sometimes they are used simply because it makes sense to do so. Here are just some of the archetypes used in the 1994 animated movie...

Reluctant Hero
This is, of course, Simba. The Reluctant Hero is a common archetype used in a lot of movies, and is normally the protagonist. Simba is the good guy and the rightful...

I think everyone who has seen "The Lion King" and "The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride" films can agree that "The Lion Guard" doesn't do
a very good job with fitting in there. I have only seen all of "The Return of the Roar" and several clips from some other episodes. But that's enough to conclude that this TV toon fails miserably as a Lion King series. I'm sure the majority of my fellow Millenials from this fanbase agree with me, but I know there are Lion King fans who nonetheless enjoy and love this new series. fans who don't think it sucks. Good for you, guys, if u can find something to enjoy...
