No I don't think that she was made to think she did!

chloe really did kill him. the police officers and doctors wouldn't even probably know about the mii and they wouldn't pretend somebody was dead when they weren't because that would cause to much fuss.

and I think that she was made to think that she killed him, because mi's are supposed to be separated from humans (they don't mix) so they made up the story that if a mi kiss a human, he dies. and so i believe that sbd else killed him :)

Of course she killed him, the whole Mai and humans don't be intimate. They proved the whole kissing a human is true when the Brazilian twins came in town and one of them killed a guy door kissing him. Mystery solved.
