#1 Because they're unique - A witch and a vampire have never been done before

While certainly a shallow reason it seems to be a huge one. It's true that supernatural/folklore TV shows/books tend to do the same things over and over again, but whose to say The Vampire Diaries hasn't done something 'unique' already in regards to the two mains in their ship? Lets look it over..

Damon - Fell...

Damon:I know u love Stefan.And it will always be Stefan.But I love you.You should know that.
Elena:I do. ep.22

Katherine:It's ok to love them both.I did. ep.22

Damon:You should've met me in 1864.You would've liked me.

I just made this story up, when I got bored at the laptop. Plus, I like writing stories, I hope u like this one.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Julie Plec had this to say about Rose dropping Klaus’ name in the final moments of episode 208:
The mystery of Klaus and when we’ll see Klaus is going to be the same vraag of ‘When will we see Katherine?’ from last season. I'm not trying to start an even bigger war here, of anything, between Delena and Stelena, of the two ships' fans, but I've noticed a lot of hateful commentaren towards Stefan and Stelena. Yes, Delena fans, I'm talking about you. I'm not trying to attack of accuse u of anything, so please don't think I am, but I've seen commentaren like Stefan needs to die of things on the terms of that, and I'm sick of it! Do Stelena fans say they want Damon dead? No, we don't say that. And I know you're probably thinking, it's cause Damon's not only hot, but he rocks [or whatever], but there are actually fans...
