This by far. Alaric has always been one of my favorite characters and it's been so long since he has really been on the show.

I'm not looking forward to new characters at all one of the reasons season 5 sucks is because most of the new characters were killed off very quickly there was no time to get to know them and it was not shocking or surprising at all.

I'm actually looking forward to less Damon but that won't happen. I want more scenes with Elena/Jeremy, Elena/Matt and Elena/Caroline I want the old Elena back the one that loves and cares about her friends. I also want Matt, Jeremy and Tyler to get their own storylines and more screentime.

I'm not looking forward to Enzo AT ALL if he is in all episodes and gets too much screentime and if season 6 is as bad as season 5 I will give up on this.

I agree with everything @charmeddexter just said!
The only good thing about season 5 for me was Katherine and now she's gone. Honestly I don't have high hopes for the next season, many of my friends have quit watching, maybe I'll do the same next year. Though seeing Alaric back may be an improvement and I used to love his scenes with Elena, I really hope they don't ruin their relationship

But why are you so negative guys? If you feel that way why are you watching the show? It seems it makes you unhappy....

Personally, i think i'll love S6 more than S4 or S5.....But we'll see. Don't jugde it like this from now. They haven't even begin to start shooting!

I still watch because I'm curious to see where it goes next, plus I want to see Alaric back! It just makes me sad because tvd used to be one of my all time favorite shows, but they ruined it for me the last 2 seasons. I wish the next season is good and I will watch it, hope it doesn't disapoint.
Plus I really love the actors!

I'm still watching because I'm invested in the characters and couples. Season 5 was really bad but still entertaining enough to keep my attention also I don't give up on shows after 1 bad season. I didn't really like season 4 of Community but I loved season 5 that's what I'm hoping for with TVD. A lot of shows have a bad season but they can be redeemed.

^^^ Exactly. I rarely ever abandon shows.

I'm not even sure I'll be watching S6 or not, I haven't decided yet. But I hated S4, I thought it was terrible, I didn't care for most of S5, but I couldn't just stop watching because I love Damon and Delena and Caroline and Katherine.. Then they killed off Katherine, sigh. But what pushed me over the edge was Damon dying in the finale. Whether he miraculously returns or not, it just wasn't necessary IMO, and I'm sick of JP ruining what was once my favorite show.
