I remember visiting this website once...
It was called The Walking Dead: There's a secret note buried out there somewhere | EW.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Will we ever see winter on 'The Walking Dead'?
'Walking Dead' star Melissa McBride: Season 6 is a 'crazy ride'
'Walking Dead' star Norman Reedus on 'wild animals' of season 6
will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on Aug. 25 and contains over three hours of bonus material, including featurettes and deleted scenes (one of which you can see right here).
There are also a bundle of commentary tracks from the cast and producers, and in one of the commentaries showrunner Scott M. Gimple reveals a tantalizing nugget of information sure to send hardcore fans and collectors into a tizzy. In his commentary with executive producer Gale Anne Hurd on the season 5 premiere episode of “No Sanctuary,” Gimple explains a behind-the-scenes tidbit related to the bag of weapons Rick buried outside the gates of Terminus.
If you recall, before entering Terminus in the season 4 finale (“A”), Rick buried a bag of guns (and that infamous machete with the red handle) as a safety precaution. It seems that Gimple — who was on set and knew they would be unburying the bag in the same spot in the season 5 premiere — decided after filming the finale scene to leave a little something buried for Andrew Lincoln to find when he later dug up the bag the next year. Only one problem … they later ended up filming the season 5 bag retrieval in a
spot. Meaning what Gimple left is still out there waiting to be found.
“What I had done,” explains Gimple on the commentary tack, “I had buried a note for ourselves when we put the dirt back in the hole that Rick had dug, because Andy did want to dig the hole. And then we wound up shooting this in just a slightly different place. And that note is still out there somewhere.”
“Oh my goodness,” responds Hurd on the commentary. “There is going to be a scavenger hunt to find the note! I hope it’s a note you don’t mind if people read.”
“It might be a little corny,” says Gimple. “That’s about it.”
What’s on the secret buried note? You’ll have to dig it up to find out. Happy hunting!
