Overall ok episode. It felt mostly like a filler episode. Jesus' funeral was sad.

I actually liked a Daryl scene! I liked his interrogation scene, and the little plotting he did to get Henry to sympathize with her and then eavesdrop on them. It was a smart move. It's been a whole since we've seen Smart!Daryl! I'm so glad he's back! Let's just hope he won't leave again.

I found Negan's journey kinda meh, and I don't like feeling that way about him!

I LOVED the ending! Alpha is probably going to try to bargain Alden and Luke for Lydia. But one of them is probably dead.

Negan's journey was not what I was expecting, but at least he got to be free for a while. And I loved all his interaction with Judith.

Alpha's entrance was bad-ass. Everything else was kinda meh.

One cool thing about this Whisperer stuff is that now every zombie fight has much higher stakes. When Negan was fighting those walkers at the old Sanctuary I was convinced one of them was gonna block his swing or something and he'd shit his pants lol.

I really wish that Negan's adventure had been either a bottle episode, or had stretched across at least one more episode. I feel like Negan would have tried just a little bit harder to find something better for himself than that little expedition... And I dunno if I missed something, but I don't get how Judith knew Negan was gonna be coming along on his bike... and we didn't see anything about anyone even realising Negan was gone... At one point I wondered if Judith was even real and maybe Negan was imagining her because that is the only thing that would make sense. It just seemed like they've skipped through too much of that storyline so it kinda didn't make much sense and ruined what could have been a very cool story if they'd actually given it some time.

But I still really liked the Negan stuff because its Negan. And Daryl's interrogation was cool, especially since the character has been so underutilised for the past however many seasons. The rest was really boring though. A lot of Michonne whispering for some reason.

But Alpha's entrance was by far the best thing in this episode. Ho-ly shit! That final scene was sooooooo cool and now that Negan is a Good Boy I need me a Bad Girl to fill the void (that's what she said).
