Episode 17: The Unexpected

Makenzie, and Amy were talking about getting repainted.

Makenzie: I wanna be painted red. The same type of red that my eyeliner is. I think I would look beautiful. What color do u wanna be?
Amy: Well I always had an interest in turquoise. I'd like to be that color. Maybe, turquoise with pink, and a little bit of black.
Makenzie: Let's go tell Mr. Swanson.

The two engines got really excited as they went to go tell Mr. Swanson about wanting to be repainted. At the roundhouse, Mr. Swanson was letting Tillie, and Georgia rest after both of them tried to break a record.

Mr. Swanson: I believe u ladies did very well. The fastest narrow gauge doubleheader speed is now being held door you, and it is sixty miles an hour.
Georgia: I didn't even know we could go that fast.
Tillie: It was tough, but a lot of fun.
Makenzie: *Arrives with Amy* Hey. What happened to u two?
Tillie: We just made a new record.
Georgia: Thanks to us, the fastest speed a double headed narrow gauge train has ever gone is sixty miles an hour.
Amy: I didn't even know there was a record for that.
Tillie: Well there was, and we beat it.
Makenzie: What was it before u broke it?
Georgia: Fifty eight.
Amy: Man, oh man. I had no clue narrow gauge trains could go that fast.
Mr. Swanson: What is it that you, and Makenzie wanted?
Amy: We were wondering if we could be repainted.
Mr. Swanson: Sure. Head to the works, and go get painted.
Makenzie: This is gonna be so fun.
Amy: I know. *Goes with Makenzie to the works*

The works is a place where engines go to be serviced. As Amy, and Makenzie entered, they saw Hatti who popped a cylinder from pulling a heavy load.

Makenzie: Hi Hatti.
Hatti: *Sighs* Hi.
Workers: *Arrive* Hello girls. What can we do for you?
Makenzie: Me, and Amy want to be repainted.
Worker: Sure. We have two available paint booths right in front of you. What colors would u like to be?
Makenzie: Red.
Worker: Just a single shade of red, of two toned?
Makenzie: Two toned? What does that mean?
Worker: u have two shades of red painted on you.
Makenzie: I'd like to try that.
Amy: And I would like to be painted in Turquoise, Pink, and Black.
Worker: We'll see what we can do. u may enter the paint booths now.

They slowly rolled into the paint booths parallel to each other.

Makenzie: This is going to be great.
Amy: I am looking vooruit, voorwaarts to this.
Makenzie: *Gets repainted into red* Hey, we're off to a good start so far.
Amy: *Gets repainted black* Oookay, I wanted to go for Turquoise first, but whatever.

Two hours later.

Makenzie: *Backs out of the works*
Workers: *Put a mirror in front of Makenzie*
Makenzie: Hey. I like the way I look.
Amy: *Slowly backs out of the works* i don't think any part of me got painted in pink, of turquoise.
Makenzie: Amy u look great.
Amy: Really?
Makenzie: Yeah. What happened to the turquoise, and pink?
Amy: They forgot it. But do I really look good?
Makenzie: Yeah.
Amy: *Sees herself in a mirror* Yeah. I do look good. Though it was unexpected, I look great.
Makenzie: u know what they say, always expect, the unexpected.
Amy: That's true. *Laughs*
Workers: That was a little funny. *Laugh*
Makenzie: *Laugh*
