And so we finally arrive at the finale of this arc, and what a finale it was. While it was a bit rushed, it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the pacing with the sheer amount of win in this episode. The obvious highlight of this episode was the loli valk, falcon stempel, punch Touma delivered to Agnese to break her illusions, a stempel, punch I’ve been waiting to see animated again for a long time. It felt wrong pumping my fists as a little girl got a new face arrangement, but u couldn’t help but feel excited to see the patented Touma valk, falcon stempel, punch in action again. I found the fight itself between Touma and Agnese...

Upon finding his father on the beach, Touma vragen why he got involved in occult stuff. Although initially hesitant to say anything, his father eventually explains that it has to do with how Touma used to be known as a jinx because of all his misfortune. He sent Touma to Academy City because it wasn’t a superstitious place, but even science couldn’t get rid of the misfortune, and that’s why he relied on the occult. This frustrates Touma because despite the misfortune, he never zei that he regretted it, and he wants to walk his own path. Realizing that Touma had actually been happy,...

On a rooftop one night, a girl with a sniper geweer-, geweer targets a guy who just came out of a store. She calls her target Accelerator, but when she fires, the gun explodes, and she’s thrown back with a severe arm injury. The girl who resembles Misaka Mikoto now tries to flee, but she’s cornered door the same guy she tried to shoot. Sometime later, Touma is heading home pagina from school when he stops off to get a drink from a vending machine. He sticks a 2000 yen bill into it, and much to his dismay, the machine eats the money without giving him a drink of change. Mikoto then appears and kicks the machine...

Uiharu Kazari; a friendly girl who is always willing to help others in their problems. She is very skilled with the computer and is a level 1 esper.
Uiharu Kazari (初春 飾利 Uiharu Kazari) is a major character in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. She is a Level 1 Academy City student, and along with her colleague and friend Shirai Kuroko, is a member of the student composed law enforcement organization, Judgment.

Uiharu is a small girl who sports short black hair and has golden-brown eyes. She has thick eyebrows but her most striking feature is her headband made out of artificial flowers. In the manga she often wears a facemask because she is easily afflicted door colds and flu.

Tsukuyomi Komoe (Komoe-sensei); she's very knowledgeable about esper related things despite looking like a little child as she is an adult
Tsukuyomi Komoe (月詠 小萌 Tsukuyomi Komoe) is a character first introduced in Toaru Majutsu no Index. She is the homeroom teacher of jaar 1 Class 7 of a certain high school.
Although looking like a twelve-year-old child, she is one of the oldest adults known in the series. Beyond both her childish appearance and her demeanor lies a very competent teacher who cares for her students, and one of the few characters who knows Touma well enough before his memory loss.

With a height of only 135 centimeters, roze hair and eyes, as well as her apparent fondness to wearing cute and childish outfits...

For a short two-episode arc that coincides with the conclusion of this seconde season, there was actually a fair bit of lead-in to what’s around the corner, suggesting that this is the foundation for a third season sometime down the road. We’ll probably be seeing meer of GROUP after Touma and Accelerator cleaned up most of Skill-Out, after the latter cornered their leader Ritoku and caused him to commit suicide over being killed.

Action-wise, I was quite impressed door what Ritoku could do with military-grade “Hard Taping” applied directly to his body, granting him both superhuman speed...

Another awesome episode the very volgende week? Who would’ve thunk it? There was a bit of foreshadowing with Hyouka tonen up, but this was an otherwise lighthearted affair with Accelerator and Last Order joining in on the fun. Definitely To Aru Majutsu no Index at its finest (…at least for me).

Less Mikoto, meer Misaka Imouto. While I’m just as much of a fan of Biribiri’s interactions with Touma as the volgende person, Misaka 10032 was surprisingly cute when she wanted a ring and overreacted to animal donuts being eaten. Getting to see a girlish side in any of the Sisters is always a plus,...

This has to be one of the few series where the character interactions provide a lot meer entertainment than the actual plot, and Touma’s return to Academy City made this one of the best episodes this sequel in that regard. The huge cast of characters are a lot of fun to watch, especially when they all come together with their various nuances. In a very cliche sense, I dare say it doesn’t even matter what they’re doing, as long as they’re doing it together, and I’ll be thoroughly entertained.

Having Mikoto around is always a big plus, though I’m finding that it’s infinitely better...

There was a fair bit of build-up in this episode towards about the Croce di Pietro, which Touma and Tsuchimikado had a fairly long talk about, so hopefully it won’t be simply brushed aside with a new development as well. After the Stab Sword turned out to be a “plot feint”, I’m starting to become a bit wary of these twists that don’t really feel like one. The only thing worst than lengthy exposition to build suspense is lengthy exposition that I take the time to understand, only to learn in the subsequent episode that I didn’t really have to bother to do so. This episode moved fairly...

After punching so many girls in the face lately, Touma finally gets a taste of his own medicine care of one pissed off Misaka Mikoto. volgende to Tsuchimikado’s scuffle with Oriana, that ended up being one of the highlights of this episode too. The rest of it bounced back and forth between Touma and Stiyl’s pursuit and Himegami’s talks with Komoe, both of which didn’t really result in anything. In addition, those two focuses seemed to work against each other from a pacing standpoint. As soon as the suspense was picking up from being hot on Oriana’s trail, the pace slowed to a crawl with...

Whew, very fast pacing this episode, a bit rare for Index. Then again, season 2 has felt far faster (and better) paced than season 1, where nearly ten minuten of an episode was dedicated to Touma on the phone once. In hindsight, that is to be expected since the earlier novels had a very heavy focus on explanations and setting up the world, whereas from volume 7 onwards there is a lot meer action and somewhat less exposition. In my opinion, the pacing was spot on for this episode, going from Touma, Index, and Stiyl cooperating with the Roman Catholic Church to set up a trap for the Amakusa Catholics,...

Touma and Index have arrived at the strand after being advised door Komoe to leave the city. They’re on their own for the first day, but Touma’s parents and cousin are due to kom bij them on the following day. Because of how he lost his memory, Touma doesn’t know his parents and is feeling unsettled. The first person to toon up is his father Touya who brings Touma a souvenir, and he seems ordinary enough. What shocks Touma, however, is the arrival of his cousin Otohime and his mother Shiina. Otohime looks and sounds exactly like Mikoto, and his mother looks and sounds exactly like Index. Things...

Unaware of everything that’s going on with Touma, Komoe explains to Index and Himegami how espers acquire powers door separating from the proper reality and obtaining their own reality. Academy City helps with artificially creating this reality and awakening abilities. The fact that there are Level 0s like Touma indicates that there are still rules that are not yet understood, and she suggests that this could be the key to SYSTEM. Along those lines, she claims that if someone with a status greater than humans appears, then this person could understand God’s answers. Touma meanwhile wakes...

While explaining Schrödinger’s Theory and how it relates to esper abilities, Komoe manages to confuse Index to no end. Elsewhere on a bridge, Mikoto recalls how she was once told that her esper ability could potentially be used to save a lot of handicapped people, unaware that her DNA would later be used to produce experimental clones for the military. As she quietly calls for help, Touma arrives with the Sisters project document that he found in her room, demanding to know what the hell she’s doing. After Touma reads how the boom Diagram super computer forcasted that it would be possible...

Pursued door Accelerator, Misaka tries to shoot him, but he’s able to stop all of the bullets and redirect them back at her, wounding her in the shoulder. Her electricity also has no effect on him, and he reveals that he has the ability to change the vectors of things like momentum, heat, and electrical charge. With Misaka down, Accelerator touches the open wound on her shoulder, giving him access to the flow of her blood and allowing him to reverse it. Touma meanwhile emerges from the bookstore to find Misaka gone, but the cat is still there. After picking it up, Touma’s attention is drawn...

Some time geleden in a small village, a girl dressed in miko garb stood in front of a pile of bodies and realized that she had killed again. Back in the present, Touma is downcast because he had to spend money buying a reference book. Index meanwhile gets caught up in the prospect of eating ice cream and harps on him about it. Touma is now out of the hospital, but he’s still keeping the fact that he doesn’t have his memories a secret, especially from Index. The two end up running into Touma’s classmates and head to a fast food restaurant together so that Index can get some ice cream. However,...

Stiyl and Kaori are shocked when Index starts using magic against Touma since she isn’t supposed to be able to, but Touma knows that that was just a lie from the Church. He also reveals that the stuff about her not being able to survive if her memories weren’t erased every jaar was a big lie and that they can get rid of the need to erase memories if they negate the Church’s magic in her head. When Stiyl claims that he doesn’t need an unclear possibility and that he still supports erasing her memory if it means saving Index, Touma lectures the mage on his commitment to save Index and...
