When I first started watching TrueBlood, I have to admit that Anna Paquin was a bit annoying. I wasn't really seeing her as Sookie Stackhouse. Near the middle of the season and towards the end I bought into it more. After watching the season, I read all eight of the Sookie books in two weeks!!!!! It's an amazing book series - I HIGHLY recommend it to all TrueBlood fans!!!!!!
