I explain because I know a lot of people love them and by a lot I mean almost everybody and that's why I didn't understand why I didn't. So, to explain, I just start to watch Friends (I'm at the beginning of season 7) and of course I knew that Monica and Chandler would date eachother but I didn't know how. Then, Chandler is my favorite character on the show and Monica my least. I never thought that they would have sex and then fell in love. That's why I was truly dissapointed, for me it was only sex at first and I didn't understand how people could love them that much. On 6x25, I was happily suprised when I saw that it wasn't about sex anymore but it was real. I was so glad to see Chandler fight for the woman he loves (and for those who really know Chandler, it's surprising). And they even made me cry when they propose eachother to get married. Now, your advice ?! (:

i first started the watchin the show the finale of s4 and i fell in love with them and they were the first couple i ever started to ship! :)

Yeah, but it was made clear that they loved each other BEFORE he proposed. You know, when Phoebe and Rachel found out the truth about them too.
Anyway, they're one of my favourite couples ever.

Hmm I've never thought about it from the "it was just sex" POV before... Being an avid Friends fan (Seriously I'm obsessed) I've seen most episodes multiple times. And looking back on the seasons before they hooked up (mainly season 4 before the finale) to me they have this amazing spark. In season 1, when Ross was having Ben and Chandler comforted Monica and said that they'd have one together if necessary. In season 2, when they were watching Joey's porn and they did that dance together. In season 3, the one at the beach where Chandler was stuck on why he couldn't be Monica's boyfriend. In season 4, when Chandler needed to get out of his apartment because of Joey and Kathy, Monica comforted him. Among other things lol I guess my point is that when they got together, they already had this great connection because of their friendship and it just made sense. I think as you finish the series you'll start to like them even more because they become this wonderful team. Which is why I love them. There's really no drama in their relationship because all they really want is each other and they work hard at maintaining their relationship. I love how both their characters grow because of their relationship and I think you will too =)
