My chest felt as if it was going to explode, although I had not heartbeat to speak of, it was racing ten to the dozen in my mind. I tried to stand up, to get away from the scene I had found, but my legs wouldn’t hold me up long enough. I fell to the ground hitting my head hard on the foot of my grandmothers bed, my head swirling out of control, filled with scenes that could have been mistaken for a horror film. The crash, the biting, the sight of my grandmother dying silently while I was to chicken to do something about it.
I lay there for what seemed liked days but when I looked at the clock...

" OH, my god! Trenton your a vampire!" I shouted but really i didnt care, my best friend is a vampire instead of human and i never saw it coming. "Well yeah I didnt want to tell u until I explained it but i couldnt keep my eyes shut any more." He zei it so casually it almost frightened me. I couldnt believe it was all happening in one dag and not just any day-my birthday. From drama with Jacob, to making up and kissing, then having a bad dream, to finding out that i had the flu where it is suppose to eat myself alive, and to top, boven it all off my friend is here telling me that he is a vampire!...

Jacob nodded. I looked at Edward who was still giving Jacob death stares. How could I be so stupid? How could I think that I would ever live happily ever after with Edward? He was a freaking vampire for Christ sake! I didn’t need Jacob to tell me the venom wasn’t stopping me getting older, I could have told myself that. Whenever I had looked in the mirror I could see another sign that I was getting nearer and nearer to seventeen and I knew Edward could see this too. He isn’t that brilliant at disguising his thoughts....
