WHATTHEFUCK.
Let me guess, they're gonna replace him with some popular little HSM kid or a Jonas brother or something. Summit, you're becoming a bunch of greedy little bastards and your movies fucking suck. Want to know why? Your casting directors are retarded and you work with the worst people in the business (I'm talking to you, Melissa Rosenberg). This guy was one of the FEW things that actually felt real about Twilight, which wins the award for WORST ADAPTATION EVER. I hope you go bankrupt. The end.

Ok, I know he was looking forward to reprising Sam, but, seriously, he had two lines in Twilight and was never said by name. People who didn't read the book would never even know that it was Sam. Sam's role in New Moon is much bigger and I always pictured Sam to be much more of a presence than Solomon portrays. We'll see who ends up in the role and I may end up eating my words, but most of the fans didn't want Rob in the role of Edward when he was first cast, and we can all see how that turned out.

i agree with drgroz. He wasn't mentioned by name, and he didn't really look like a Sam to me. So, I don't really care. Although, he did seem excited about New Moon. As for the adaptation.. I'm sorry, but I have to comment on it. The movie wasn't a bad adaptation. If the movie was aloud more screen time, then, yes, they could have added alot of the scenes in the book, but they couldn't. I just had to say that, because for the most part, i thought they stayed pretty true to the book.

^^i agree with drsgroz...i mean yeah ok solomon was a pretty cool sam...but i honestly dont think people are going to notice that hes not in the second movie..unless if you're a huge fan of twilight the book...and you couldnt really tell if he was a good sam or not..i mean those two lines didnt exactly scream to me...thats definitely the sam from the book

The point is, he's not being recast for his acting ability. Chances are, they're going to replace him with someone more well-known so they'll get more money from the psychotic fangirls who want to see the new guy.

I was way more pissed earlier than I am now, so let me correct something: Twilight was not the worst book-to-screen adaptation ever. It's the second. Eragon was the worst.

^yes, I agree with a couple things you said. The way Summit notified him was terrible. It was absolutely awful and I feel bad for him. And, Eragon was the worst adaptation. But I didn't think that Twilight was that bad of an adaptation. They got the main plotline and everything. Twilight is more of a character driven story, so I guess that was hard, but I didn't think it was extremely terrible. But it was different from the book.

DarkSarcasm...i get where you're coming from...but hey they're pretty smart...not to piss you off.. but if they know that this movie is making money and they replace someone unknown like solomon with someone known that many people will end up liking at the end..thus giving them more money...then they are so definitely going to do it...but what can you do...like you said before greedy little bastards

The more money they make on each movie, the more money they can budget for the next.

I think that The Golden Compass gives Eragon a run for its money as the worst adaptation. Ironic, considering the director. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It's sad.
Those of us who knew the book before, knew that he was Sam.
I don't see it as being a huge deal that is recasted, I just feel bad for solomon, but I think that is a character that could be recasted at this point of the movie, and it's not going to make a huge deal.
