It rocked!! It was waaaaaay better than thought it would be and I loved the acting and special effects! It beats the hell out of Twilight the movie :D

I haven't seen it yet, but my tickets are pre booked for tomorrow which is when it comes out over here :) Cannot wait!!

it was aMAZING. loved it. Bella looks a lot better in new moon than she does in Twilight. Edward-Bella & Jacob-Bella scenes are breathtaking.

I loved it! I went in not knowing what to expect because New Moon was probably my least favorite book. Not that i didn't thoroughly enjoy it, it just happens to be my least favorite of the series.

I was pleasantly surprised all around though. The quality was excellent, 10 times better than Twilight. The special effects definitely improved, and thank god so did the acting!

I think what surprised me most was that i actually enjoyed the Jacob/Bella scenes =] Still Team Edward & Edward/Bella without a doubt, but they did a good job at conveying the complete and utter heartache Jacob is undoubtedly feeling as a result of Bella not being able to let go of Edward.

I was amazing. I'm with heartinohio, New Moon is my least fave and did enjoy most of the Jacob/Bella scenes. The ending was pure genius, I loved it. And I can't wait till Eclipse. :-D

Just got back, like an hour ago from watching it.
It was bloody worth the wait!
Every scene was just like the book, some were even better!
The ending ... pure brilliant how they left it at a cliff-hanger .... (but everyone who read the books know what happened anyway :P)

I didnt like the Jacon and bella bits in the book, but Taylor was soo fit in the film, it was hard not to enjoy his scenes lol ... still Team Edward though ... New Moon was amazing! :) xx Deffo gonna get the DVD :) x

it actually stuck to the book!! no random quotes were made up and put in the film quotes like: 'my monkey man' or 'spider-monkey' the only quotes were ones directly from the book. LOVE IT. i plan on watching it again!!=P

I enjoyed the movie but parts were a little boring. There were actually four people in the corner of the theatre sitting together and half-laying on each other asleep. During the quiet parts, you could hear them snoring lol. Of course I saw the midnight showing though...
Did anyone else notice the Bruise around Robert's nipple when he took his shirt off? It looked like someone bit him! lol. I laughed for probably ten minutes.

Kristen was amazing durring the break up, my heart broke with hers. but just seeing my fav part form the book on the screen, just loved it! it was funny, i laughted, i cried, on sat on the edge of my seat....had all i wanted!

Did they leave out some scenes from the book or change anything?

Way way way WAY better than twilight. I knew it would be better with a different director! He has a lot of potential this guy! It was still "ok" for me but there was a lot of visually stunning things in this movie. Robert's performance was disappointing. Kristen did really well actually (with the exception of some cheesy scenes here and there). Taylor really surprised me! He was much better than I thought he'd be: and I'm not talking about his abtastic body :/
He was still not all that great (for example, his acting skills tanked during most of his shirtless scenes - as if he was too busy worrying about his prize body to concentrate on the task at hand), but overall he delivered a much more convincing performance than Rob (Taylor sucked in twilight and Rob was steady for me then).
They still cut more than I'd like from the book but they included a LOT more "book" scenes and dialogue than they did in the first movie; so there's obvious improvement. It's just that with this being a huge box office movie I figured they'd include even more stuff to grant the movie a lot more continuity. I mean as of now, Bella is in love with Jake and obviously doesn't know it yet, but there weren't enough scenes (or maybe the scenes weren't long enough) with them for me to establish that from watching the movie alone. They had great chemistry in the movie (even better than Edella I dare say) and more scenes (or longer scenes perhaps) woulda facilitated a stronger foundation for their relationship. I also woulda loved the plane scenes (coming back from italy at least - if not on the way to it) and Edward carrying Bella in his arms as he returned her home.
With as much as this Saga is making, the filmmakers could definitely afford 20-30 more minutes of scenes for the sake of fluidity (it was still more than a little choppy for me when the dynamics came to play - From Edella together and madly in love, to Edward pulling away, to Edward leaving, to Bella insanely depressed, to Jalla as friends, to Jalla as more than friends, to Bella rescuing Edward, to Edella once again and the subsequent love triangle. The seams were too gapped between the majority of this sequence of events.
Anyhow, I'm done rambling :P
I hope this film team/director AND the actors keep stepping it up as they continue the saga :D

(Totally not a Twilight hater, quite the opposite) but the movie was way too rushed and Emotionless,( i didn't even shed a single tear. and w/ the book i was totally sobbing!) Rob's preformance was indeed disappointing, Aro was so freaking creepy(not how i pictured him in the books) and *SPOILER ALERT* wasn't the "Marry Me Bella" thing supposed to happen till the end of ECLIPSE?!? that was totally screwed up and therefore screwed the rest of the Saga (for me-anyway) Twilight Movie was so much better!

I kinda agree... it was VERY rushed and i didnt feel like Bella hurt that much when Edward left than she had in the book.. BUT STILL! it was NEW MOON! the wolfs were amazing and the cgi is WAYYY better..

Ok so I saw the movie with my friends and my sister and it was amazing, I would say that it was better than Twilight. It was pretty cute looking over at my 12 yr old sister and see her smiling each and evreytime Taylor was on the screen. Im 21 but that young man is beautiful! I cant wait to go see it again and then for Eclipse.

so...jacob & bella scenes was EPIC!! the volturi were really good, and i liked the wolf pack. but where was the CULLENS? i wanted to see more scenes with alice, carlisle and esme!! instead, edward was in the movie too much, bella always and everywhere saw him, and that moments were like nightmares for me!! =/
*here comes the spoiler* btw, the end was...bah. "marry me!" ...the end of the book was definitely better!
i don't like so much chris weitz's style. also "the golden compass" had a stupid end...mmh...jake save me! lol

Totally amazing! The special effects, the acting, the scenes, the everything! I went to the movies, not having much expetations because of how much Twilight dissapointed, but I went home feeling so damn satisfied! lol. It was really good! And Jacob/Bella - they broke my heart! I'm on team EB, but still. EB were so pure too though. Ah, everything was so great! <3 Jeez, I gotta say, I'm SO glad they changed the director too.

It was a good watch, but there were little things here and there that disappointed me. But it's understandable, It's hard for a movie to really live up to the book.

i was all for team edward when i saw twilight,but when i saw that edward was being a jerk to bella and said that he was leaving and didnt want her to come i was for team jacob.after that when i saw that jacob was trying to steal her from edward for like the whole movie and that when edward called he didnt let bella talk to him.that kind of ticked me off a little.i was for team edward the whole rest of the movie.i wish that edward was hot,but hes not even a little cute.jacob is the hot one.

It was FANTABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It literally blew my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Besides the OUTWORDLY special effects, with the wolves & Edward's apparitions, the performance of EVERYONE was AMAZING!!! Kudos to Charlie for his quick wit & care (a truly underrated character!!!) & for Mike....he made me laugh sooo hard....at his expense though, but still!!! GAAAAH I'm going crazy!!!! I went completely nuts, I LOVED every single parts, even the emails to Alice, which never reached her, but still we were able to dive in Bella's mind that way without always having the voice over!! The. Cellphone. That. Edward. Reduced. To. Dust. OME!!!!!!!!!! And The Volturi, BLESS ARO...he's as crazy as he was in the book!!!! And so much mooooore!! THE ENDING...now they thoroughly set the stage for Eclipse!!!....Will you marry me ??....aww Edward I've been waiting forever for you to ask me this!!! lool

It was really, really amazing. I'm glad that they got Chris Weitz to film this one, because i was very nervous that it was going to be crappy like Twilight was (for me at least). The special effects, the characters, the music, they were all spot on for me. At the end of the movie I just wanted to sit there and watch it all over again! ^^^^This is EXACTLY why i wasn't satisfied with the movie! I thought there were enough scenes, but they weren't long enough. I just didn't like how short some JB scenes were. I mean i'm a HUGE HUGE HUGE Jacob & Bella fan and i was extremely excited for this movie because i knew it was mainly based on Jacob, Jacob & Bella and their relationship, and i just couldn't wait. BUT, i just wanted more, i did LOVE LOVE some scenes, but i just, like i said, kept wanting more. The ending PISSED ME OFF! Bella is officially a BITCH (Excused the language, but whatever)! What was the whole "I love you, but don't let me choose because it'll be him" all about?? Ughh, i hated that part! I don't like that they made Jake tranform because they ruined how he was suppose to be (and i loved how he was in the book, in the ending), but they still captured that same emotion jake had in the book, even as a wolf, he made me tear or at lease almost lol! The break-up scene was the biggest issue for me! That part was the only part in the book that made me cry, seriously! In the movie, i just didn't feel anything. I blame it on how they shot it. IT WAS FREEZING FOR THEM and on top of that THEY MADE IT RAIN (not sure if the rain was part of the book)! You can tell, Taylor and Kristen can barely say their lines without shivering, i think that's why i couldn't even feel their emotions when they said their lines because they're too cold and they show it. It was not good. BUT, JB's body made it up, so it's okay, lol! Overall, i thought the movie WAS better than the first, i loved it even if i wasn't satisfied. Kristen & Taylor acting were best in my opinion. I can't wait till Eclipse even if i know what will happen with J/B!

It was just terrible, the acting was truly inadequate I mean kristen looked blazed the whole time for gods sake! she was completely devoid of all emotion in my opinion. It was mediocre at best if you compare it with the first movie.

If I could change anything in it that I wanted, I don't think I'd change hardly anything. Of course it couldn't fit in EVERYTHING, but it had a lot more than I expected! Way more than in Twilight. The directing was way better, the special effects were awesome, the acting was almost perfect, and so many other great things. It just felt so much more like the book than Twilight did. Alice was perfect! Edward and Bella's relationship was a lot closer to the book than the first one, it had their kind of feel to it. And there were so many lines from the book! Awesome! As far as book-to-movies, it was by far the best movie I've ever seen.

Edward actually did propose in the book, Bella just didn't say yes until Eclipse.

I thought it was AmAzing. It was a lot better than twilight. Chris Weiz is a really good director a lot better than Catherine Hardwicke. It showed Bella and Edwards relationship a lot better than Twilight. And the characters/scenes weren't as awkward as in Twilight. The characters look more characteristic, Jasper didn't look so creepy as in Twilight. Over all it was a lot better than I thought. I can't wait until Eclipse!

If a movie goes by in a snap, it means something good (usually), and this is no exception to that rule. With the teeny budget it had for a supernatural, blockbusting flick and a movie that drew the original line of haters and lovers, I like the whole idea the Saga's created: Fangirls are here, and stop targeting movies at boys for bucks. Look at the Comic Con: It looks like the girls line ups will no longer be shorter to the washroom. Girls are now more marketable than ever, and get some goodies once only held out for the guy population. Star Wars or watchmen or any number of things comic-con worthy was never lacking in girl-fans, but I think Twilight brought to light girl power in a less-than-rom-com setting.

it was a great movie, i liked twilight but this was so much better then twilight... it had a lot of good scenes... victoria's scens were great, im team edward but when jake begged her not to leave it broke my heart and i wanted bella to stay, loved every scene edward was in(which was not a lot) and was it just me or the scene where felix smashes edward and his check cracks was a freakin great scene.... it started out good,then sad, then better then the end was great.... i must say tho when edward proposes in the book it was so much better, and i think bella needed a little more heart ache in the movie other then that chris weitz did a great job.... now i cant wait for eclipse i need way more emmett in the movie he is just so halarious... dammm we got about 7months for eclipse...

hey this is to (petlover2009) actually if you reread towards the end of the book Edward does ask Bella to marry him but she doesn't answer. so he asks her again at the end of eclipse. when he asks her in new moon it is kinda to add to this whole drama going on between her Edward and Jacob. i haven't seen the movie yet but i defiantly will hopefully soon. from some of these comments it sounds really AWESOME!!! =D

I loved it, but there was too much Taycob for me. Once the DVD comes out, I'll love it because I can just skip the whole boring Jacob section. The Volturi fight was amazing! Done very well and I loved the whole Victoria scene. Major step up from Twilight, but that's a given seeing as they actually had money this time. I loved the very end especially; "It's always been him." Well, duh. The acting wasn't great from Kristen and mainly Taylor, but whatever. They made the whole Bella and Jacob section feel like a soap show than anything. Michael Sheen! I was so happy to see him. Billy Burk was amazing, even for as small of a part he had. x)

In the end it felt like two different movies, the second movie being the better one. They also seemed to rely too much on the book. Like only those who've read the books would truly understand every little thing in the movie. And WAY too much underage shirtless Taylor. I think I gagged a few times...
