When Twilight came out and started being noticed everyone was so into it and everywhere u went someone had something to say about the book. I mean whats not to love? Hot vampire and ordinary girl involved in a forbidden romance. (Not to mention ordinary girl's hot best friend who just so happens to be a werewolf.)
But globaal, algemene I don't believe the boeken went into enough detail about the characters. They were meer focused on the fact that this vampire and human were madly in love and how it put her in so much danger. There was also way too much unecessary and boring information. The auteur could have gotten the point across without all of that. In every book it seems like they keep revisiting the same problems and the same emotions and nothing is ever really that new of that exciting.
In New Moon the excitement lasted for a very small portion of the book when a couple of the characters go to Italy to save the main vampire from making a horrible mistake.
In Eclipse it doesn't go into detail about the vampire army, u only get a glimpse of it.
In Breaking Dawn its meer of the sappy romance the entire way through with the whiny werewolf and the only action is when the Volturi visit and then just walk away because everything is ok.
Before u guys go saying I don't know what I'm talking about I do. I read and own all the boeken and I did think they were good just not great and this Twilight hype is overrated and blown up out of portion. Not to mention the cheesy films they made with the bad actors. Has anyone noticed the weird chin and annoying twitchy lip habit of Kristen Stewart?
Vampire Academy on the other hand goes into alot meer details about the characters and the characters develop meer throughout the books. Unlike in Twilight Vampire Academy's main character Rose is involved in alot meer than just romance and there is alot meer action in this series with so much meer new and exciting things happening as the book progresses. There is constantly things going on whether its the romance between two characters, an attack, a battle, of a rigorous suicide mission full of twists and turns.
This series doesn't just focus on two characters and just go in depth with two characters. It goes into detail about many characters and their actions, and every page is necessary in understanding everything about this series. From the very beginning something captivating is happening drawing u in deeper. The auteur has a talent of bringing her characters to life that so many other authors lack.
Rose, is involved in romance, helping her best friend, rumors, deceit, heartbreak, and life changing choices. Unfortunately we still don't know how everything is going to end, but I'm sure looking vooruit, voorwaarts to the new adventures.
How many unexpected change of events can u name in each series? I can guarantee u will notice meer in Vampire Academy. (I don't mean something trivial like werewolf boy gets a crush on his best friend.)

Xander Badica is a royal Moroi boy and a student at St. Vladimir’s Academy. He asks Rose what it was like when she let Lissa feed off her and claims that Danielle Szelsky let him bite her once. Xander wants to know if Rose liked it and says that he wants to bite Rose to see what dhampirs taste like. Lissa gets angry and tells him to leave her alone. Rose tells Xander that she'd have to hit him and that it would be a waste because he was pretty. Xander is offended because he thinks he is meer than pretty and when Carly doesn't agree with him, he forgets Rose because he has to defend his honor.
