when did Logan have time to be with Medison?

when were loagne&veronica apart? they were together since the end of high school (season 2) and in college and broke up for a dag and a half when logan zei he goes "for the pain now" but they couldn't stand it.... so when was he with Medison?

Actually, there is a time gap. Logan had gone to Aspen with Dick for Winter break. Madison was there in Aspen as well. They were apart for much longer than a dag and a half even though we don't see it.
