Dead Island gameplay

knifewrench Sounds good. I'm a sucker for zombie games, especially slow-walk-zombie games.... and anything that resembles an RPG. The only things I'd want to be different about this game are to have it set in a more creepy location, to improve the zombie walk/shuffle animations and to scrap the love story. (Typing this on the PS3,claireakabob gave my computer a virus XD)

DoctorSpud Haha! :D Honestly, I think the story is great and the area is fresh, I'd rather play on a large, colorful island this once rather than in a small, enclosed, abandoned house or something like that again.

knifewrench I'm all for a change in atmosphere, however I'm not fond of this particular feel. Left 4 Dead was a dark and (apparently) scary game yet it was very colourful so it's not like the zombie genre is forever trapped within the foor walls of brownovision. Maybe if Dead Island chucked the silly soundtrack and made it more eery I'd get of it's back =P

DoctorSpud The soundtrack playing at the beginning was just meant to be a joke. It definetely won't have this music playing through the game.

knifewrench Weeeey, now all it needs to do is get rid of the love story. If this game pulls a Gears 2 I'm going to be annoyed.

DoctorSpud Haha, yeah, or like the ending to Sly 3. Grrr, I hated that ending.
