Walt Disney linken - New 21-minute Olaf short angers Frozen fans at US Coco screenings 

Disney/Pixar film Coco has left US audiences both baffled and enraged, with claims that the overlong musical short film has caused audience confusion and demands for refunds.

Olaf\'s Frozen Adventure, a sort-of sequel to the inescapable 2013 blockbuster, fills the space of the traditional "Pixar short" which precede their releases. But unlike typical Pixar shorts, Olaf\'s Frozen Adventure was originally conceived as a made-for-TV special, with the length that tends to imply.

As a result of the short being placed in front of Coco, Disney/Pixar\'s Mexican Day of the Dead fantasy film, audiences have taken to social media with claims that children are loudly complaining about the film\'s length and its four original songs, some of which are reprised throughout the short.

Many cinema employees have also written on Reddit and Twitter that customers have been demanding refunds, many believing that they had been sold a ticket to the incorrect movie.

"Shout out to Disney for making my life harder," one cinema employee tweeted. "I had about 70 confused customers who thought they were in the wrong theatre since Disney decided to put a 20 minute Frozen short before Coco."

Others have claimed that their cinemas have taken to putting signs up outside of screening rooms warning audiences of the length of the short.

There has also been speculation that Disney cynically placed the Frozen short ahead of Coco in an attempt to boost box office, indicating that the corporation may not have had faith in Coco wooing audiences entirely on its own.

Luckily for us, it is believed that there will be no such Frozen short playing ahead of Coco\'s UK release. Instead Olaf\'s Frozen Adventure was played at cinemas nationwide this past weekend alongside a re-release of the first film.

Despite the length of Olaf\'s Frozen Adventure, it is in fact not the longest short film to precede an animated movie. The Mickey Mouse short The Prince and the Pauper played before screenings of The Rescuers Down Under in 1990, and clocked in at an extensive 31 minutes.
