The Joker is Batman's most iconic enemy. He has been causing trouble for over eighty years, so the time has come to look over information about him.

The Joker first appeared in 1940.

The Joker was created door writer Bill Finger and artists Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson.

The Joker's design was inspired door Gwynplaine from The Man Who Laughs.

The Joker wasn't originally meant to be Batman's main adversary. At the time, it was common for villains to be defeated at the end of the story and never come back. However, Joker was such an interesting character that he kept coming back. His appearances often ended with him seemingly dying. However, he would always find a way to come back.

In the comics, Joker's real name was kept a mystery. His backstory wasn't even revealed until the 1950s. In that decade, there was a story that revealed that the Joker used to be a thief called the Red Hood. As the Red Hood, he attempted to perform a robbery, but Batman got in the way. In order to get away from Batman, the Red kap jumped into some chemicals. The chemicals turned him into the Joker.

The Joker was originally supposed to be in 1943's Batman movie serial. However, he ended up being replaced with a new villain.

Cesar Romero became the first actor to play the Joker in 1966's Batman televisie series. Cesar Romero's Joker is tied with Burgess Meredith's pinguïn for being the villain that appeared the most in the show. To this day, Cesar Romero remains the only actor to have played the Joker in both a live-action toon and a live-action movie.

In 1989's Batman film, Joker was gegeven a real name. His name was Jack Napier. The first part of the name serves as a reference to Jack Nicholson, the actor that played Joker in that film. The other part of the name serves as a tribute to Alan Napier, the actor that played Alfred in 1966's Batman series. Like in the comics, Joker was already corrupt before landing in chemicals. However, in the film, he was a gangster instead of the Red Hood.

The Joker helped break history at the Academy Awards. Heath Ledger, who played the Joker in 2008's The Dark Knight, became the first actor to ever win an Oscar for a performance in a superhero films. Joaquin Phoenix, who played the Joker in 2019's Joker film, became the seconde actor to win an Oscar for a superhero film.

The Joker wasn't allowed to be used in the Gotham series. Despite that, Cameron Monaghan played a character in the toon that was heavily based off of the Joker. In fact, several fans consider Cameron Monaghan's role in the toon to be a version of the Joker. The toon never uses Joker's name, but it's clear that Cameron Monaghan's character was the closest thing the toon had to the Joker.

In 2019's Joker film, Joker's real name was Arthur Fleck. He was a struggling comedian who suffered from mental problems and years of neglect. The film implies that he is the first-born son of Thomas Wayne. If this were true, Arthur Fleck would be Bruce Wayne's older brother.

The Joker is one of the villains with the biggest variety of personalities. At times, he can be one of the scariest and most violent villains in all of fiction. However, there have also been times where he's done things like try to prank Scooby-Doo and beat Batman in a surfing competition.

When it comes to actors who have played Batman the most, Adam West easily wins. However, when it comes to actors who have voiced Batman the most, Kevin Conroy is the one who has that honor.

Kevin Conroy started voicing Batman in 1992's Batman: The Animated Series. Before then, Kevin Conroy had been a stage actor that was known for playing Hamlet. Voicing Batman ended up being the thing that made Kevin Conroy's acting career such a big success. Batman: The Animated Series had over eighty episodes. In addition to that, the toon had a film in 1993 that was called Mask of the Phantasm.

After Batman:...

When it comes to fictional villains, the Joker might be the most iconic of them all. He has been causing mischief in the comics since 1940. He's also caused his own brand of trouble in various shows. Since Batman has been in several films, Joker has been in quite a few films. In fact, some fans think he overshadows the other villains.

The Joker was originally supposed to be in the 1943 Batman movie serial. J. Carrol Naish was almost the first actor to play the Joker. However, in order to fit the movie's war theme, they used an original villain that was named Dr. Daka.

Cesar Romero played the...

Since I did an artikel for Penguin's televisie actors, it seems only fitting that I do an artikel for Penguin's film actors. Like in the comics and shows, pinguïn is a major character in the films.

Burgess Meredith played the pinguïn in Batman: The Movie. In the film, pinguïn was the leader of the villains.

Danny DeVito played the pinguïn in Batman Returns. This film reinvented pinguïn as having a much different appearance, including a creepier face and flippers for hands. For Penguin's eightieth anniversary, Danny DeVito wrote a comic about Penguin.

David Ogden Stiers voiced the pinguïn in...

Oswald chesterfield Cobblepot, better known as the Penguin, has been one of Batman's most iconic enemies for decades. In the comics, he quickly became Batman's seconde arch-rival. Penguin's level of importance to the Batman franchise continued when pinguïn became one of the main villains of the original Batman series. Since then, pinguïn had waddled his way to fame and fortune as one of Gotham's smartest villains.

Burgess Meredith became the first actor to ever play the Penguin. He played pinguïn in the 1966 Batman series and movie. He was one of the few villains to appear in all three seasons...

I had previously done an artikel about Superman's TV actors. Danilo daydreamer505 gave me the idea to make an artikel for Superman's films actors.

Kirk Alyn became the first actor to play Superman in a film. He played Superman in the Superman and Atom Man vs. Superman movie serials. At the time, they wanted to keep the illusion that Superman was real. Instead of Kirk Alyn being credited, Superman was credited as playing himself. Kirk Alyn had a cameo as Lois Lane's father in the first Chrisopher Reeve Superman film.

George Reeves played Superman in Superman and the mol Men.

Christopher Reeve...
